I'm glad to find someone who has had a problem very similar to my own. I had an account on Gaia since 2003, and never had so much as a warning, and one day in January I was banned. The reason was due to something like off site trading and inappropriate material (offering explicit images for gold) however I did not recall ever doing this and no one has yet been able to tell me where I went wrong.

I would, but I don't want to stick my neck in that noose. also, that's not only the system of court, but the system of treating people fairly. If the mods have free reign to bypass reason an evidence, then they will have absolute power, and that gets corrupt very fast. And it is my opinion that it is already corrupt. – rsakuma, on May 19, 2008 19:48

So here's what you can do, if you want the 'evidence', since eyewitness accounts don't apparently mean anything here. Go ask CirqueDelFeu and the other mods and admins he was acting under the approval of why they did it. THEN try to tell me that there was nothing. Also, stop assuming that the internet works like IRL court systems. It's the !@#$ing internet, after all. – Jerramy - "Bishsume", on May 19, 2008 19:15

statements =/= insults. Words aside,There is a large lack of evidence for the accusations, except for circumstantial evidence such as uncanny timing. As in court, life, and pretty much everything, no evidence, no crime. And if there was no crime, then there was no reason to ban. and if there is no reson to ban, as stated by Dri, someone could loose their title. – rsakuma, on May 19, 2008 05:07

rsakuma, you can attempt to insult me however, you like, but I'm not brown-nosing. I also 'call em as I see em', which is Ezra being correct here. Mendori: Seriously, just drop this. They offered a compromise, and you shoved it back. You lose, and that's the end of it. You were trolling. You were scamming. You got caught. And you pitched a !@#$ fit about being caught. I don't know, nor do I CARE, what else you did to piss Gaia's admins/mods off, but now you reap what you sough. By the way, isn't kinda suspicious that you 'accidentally' moved it JUST long enough to make the posts to get that item, before moving it back? – Jerramy - "Bishsume", on May 19, 2008 04:15

Thats funny. I have a message in my save box from Blue Jewel telling me that he let you borrow his mules in order to do it. And I am just as welcome here as any other person on this site. It's called a discussion. Get over it. – Ezra, on May 18, 2008 21:12

Ezra, Dri just said (directly contradicting earlier statements, of course) that Gaia doesn't discriminate based on the thoughts of any of its users. That dumps the "admitting to being a pedophile" option; further, I would remind you that I AM a minor, and the majority of people on Gaia are teenagers. As for trolling, you have yet to show me anything like this. Finally, as for scamming, I told you what happens. You did not catch me in ANYTHING. This has been hashed and rehashed in the guild already. I hit the wrong button, moved a thread, moved it back. TADA NO SCAM. Now I repeat to you, get out. You are not welcome here. – Mendori, on May 18, 2008 20:50

Admittance is not against the ToS, but acting upon it is. I have seen him be sarcastic alot, but if that is against the rules you'll also have to ban 99.9% of the ED. I have not seen him scam or have a reason to.... – rsakuma, on May 18, 2008 20:47

I have no idea about the contact information because I was not a member of the guild that was shut down, but I have seen Mendori openly admit to being a pedo in a community of minors, troll, and scam. – Ezra, on May 18, 2008 20:41

*shrug* I call em as I see em, and I saw someone sucking up. It was not an insult, but a statement based on observation. Also, we have bounced the reason for being banned from pedophilia, to soliciting minors, to exchanging info, to trolling, to scamming? can someone please tell me what is the truth from all the changing stories coming from here? – rsakuma, on May 18, 2008 20:26

@Raksuma~ Brown nosing has nothing to do with the point that Jerr made. If you would like to act like a child I suggest you go somewhere else to insult people in a discussion.
Mendori, it has been made very clear that gaia does not want you on their website, whether you think it was fair or not. And how was I an ass? Because I caught you scamming another member? No matter, this argument is mute now. You are definitely not worth the time, and I have no more reason to sweat over this. Maybe in the future you will learn to be polite and not tell people you are a pedophile on a forum that the majority of users in are children. Pretty stupid if you ask me. I say good riddance. Jerramy, nobody likes a brown-noser, and nobody has provided evidence of his trolling, nobody has provided endence of soliciting minors or exchange of any thin of the sort. Innocent until proven guilty, and habeas corpus apply in California. – rsakuma, on May 18, 2008 10:32

Mendori, I agree with Ezra, and not just because he knows what he's talking about. You -were- trolling, you -did- abuse your powers as a guild mod to scam a member, and you -won't- be winning this. You could have just taken the compromise, but your little outburst here seems, to me at least, to have destroyed your chances of even that. And all-or-all mentality doesn't work, ever. A some-or-nothing mentality is about all that's left to you here, and you seem to have destroyed your chance for the 'something. – Jerramy - "Bishsume", on May 17, 2008 02:30

Ezra, unless you're actually an employee of Gaia Online, kindly shut the !@#$ up. You were an incredible !@# to me back in October, and you evidently haven't lost the talent. – Mendori, on May 16, 2008 23:49

Then you obviously won't be getting what you want Mendori. And I have seen you troll on many occasions [not that I even care or need to dig up any posts because I know Bishsume can back me up], not to mention I also caught you in the act trying to scam another gaia user [which I DO have proof of, saved in my gaia online inbox, if you care to see this information].
You got what you deserved, and you will continue to be on gaia's most wanted list. It's been made painfully clear that you will never win this "war".
And to answer your question about the dev handling this case:
The developer in question was not the only one to make the decision against you. It went through more than one admin and moderator before the decision was made. Even if it didn't, the developer in question would no longer be an employee with gaia online if he were to break some sort of company policy, and he has yet to be forced to clean out his desk.
You lose. – Ezra, on May 16, 2008 19:36

So I wasn't banned for rule 9? Or was I banned for rule 9 but not clause 9, because there is no clause 9 and I mistakenly misused a term?
I appreciate a Gaia employee looking at this, but it didn't really answer anything- Dri, you pretty much told me that I was banned for posting inappropriate material, reiterating the message I received after Ban #2: I just can't get anyone to tell me what material that was. In fact, I only received said explanation when my second account was banned, and at that point, I hadn't made a single post with it. The answer is incredibly ambiguous.
I've made inquiries at the appropriate addresses, several times. I haven't gotten any response. That's why I'm here- I wouldn't be asking directly if the usual modus apparati hadn't failed.

In other words "We don't want to look into the real reason for your ban, Wishbone, so because you used the word clause instead of section, we'll give you this bullsh*t excuse."
Basically "Hi, we can do whatever we want to our users, so enjoy your ban. We really don't care about enforcing our rules (as seen numerous times) but we like banning people when we think it might make us look good with our sponsors. Remember. We're a corporation. Customer satisfaction does not matter to corporations. With X thousand users, we don't *need* your business, so you can go fly a kite."
Thanks, Dri. You give us so much confidence in Gaia's ability to enforce their rules fairly and evenly. Thanks.
Is this why you guys use the admin account to hand out warnings and such? Cause you don't care about us being able to confront our attackers?
Brilliant, two thumbs up. BEAUTIFUL customer service.
And here we have the reason why Gaiaonline is turning into nothing more than a bunch of spam--the admin don't enforce the rules unless it suits them.
Which company had a problem with Wishie's thread, Dri? Hmm? Was it one of the anime licensing companies? Perhaps the one that gave us the almost paedophilic "kiddy grade"? Did your sponsor make you do it?
Why don't you just take yourselves off of "Get Satisfaction?" You're not answering or satisfying anyone. We all know that your presence here is a sham. – Thoenix, on May 15, 2008 14:32
