Yep, you've discovered Sprint Scam #34 - When directly confronted about terms, the first line customer service response is to tell you that those terms, whatever they were, 24% discount, unlimited text messaging included, whatever the lie of the moment was, that you are crazy, this never existed.
"I've never heard of that"
"The most we've ever offered is 15% and that is for our very best companies."
"You are already getting a discount, why are you being so greedy?"
Etc...Etc...-

Sprint Scam #67 - Online Backup 'Add-On Service' Doesn't Cover Data UsageYou pay for a sprint service called online backup. It goes online automatically at set intervals, to the sprint web site, and backs up all of the contacts stored on your phone.
The service costs I think, $5 or $10 a month.
You sign up. It works throughout the month, giving you notices occasionally about how it's working.
...but wait, that's right, this is Sprint we're talking about here, there has to be a catch here, right?
Yep, what sprint now does is to take every single time this new 'service' uses your phone to go online to backup your contacts one their web site and adds data usage charges to your account.
Nice One Sprint! I must admit, I thought I had figured out every one of your scams! Boy was I wrong! Even I have to be impressed with this one and how cleverly you guys lied again!
How many millions of customers did you lose last year? 4 million? wow. How many do you have total? Aren't you worried you will run out of people to scam soon?

Yes these criminals charged you, despite a recent judgement in California making it illegal, when has that ever stopped sprint before... but don't worry! You will still come out ahead, trust me, these people would have milked you for more given enough time than just $200. – vancedecker, on May 09, 2009 23:51

SAME EXACT THING has happened to everyone with these plans. Sales is encouraging people to lie to customers. When they noticed they have been lied to, they are directed to telephone based customer service. Over the phone they will say:
"I don't know how they could have told you that. Are you sure you were getting up to 5 lines for $10, I've never heard of that."
Yep, no accountability anywhere. These people should be in prison. Gary Forsee & Dan Hesse should both be in prison.-

We're not interested in your internal company problems. That's a common occurrence at problem companies, they like recount their internal situation and policies to customers.
We're frankly not interested, we just phone service. With that in mind, customer service should be given at point of sale. If you can open a store, and train salespeople, then those salespeople should be the ones to have to give customer service. That way, at least there is SOME dis-incentive from lying. If they lie to you, then they are right there and you can go back to them and ask why they lied and demand that whatever they lied about be corrected.
Right now it becomes a he said she said situation where these rotten sales people lie to your face, and then if you have an issue it's "oh so sorry, you must call customer service, bu bye."

You didn't answer the above posters question. This is a common tactic used by companies who hire employees to spam online sites.
It makes it appear as if you are trying to be helpful, but is really just spam. – vancedecker, on May 09, 2009 23:26
vancedecker replied on May 09, 2009 23:25 to the question "Legacy Plans Drive Customers Away" in Sprint:
Sprint Employees are encouraged to engage in criminal fraud. This includes but is not limited to misrepresentation of service plan costs and or enlisting you in services you do not want or require.
I had a legacy plan too, with unlimited text messaging included. It was called the Sprint Family Free & Clear Plan. I still have the original brochure.
When I went to buy a new phone, I was lied to and told my plan would remain the same if I wanted, but that I wouldn't be able to use the new Sprint Vision services. That was a lie.
The plan immediately was changed, and the Sprint sales representative who two days earlier power to change the plan when I was buying the phone now referred me to customer service. When if i could return the phone, I was told I could return the phone for a full refund, but there is nothing that they can do about reversing the plan back to the way it was.
Text messaging technology DID NOT CHANGE (quit misrepresenting facts, if you say that the technology to send text messages has changed, then you are a liar)
What changed, was Sprint's internal name for text messaging, it went from "SMS Text Messaging" to "Casual Text Messaging" and now what was once included with your plan, is now an add on feature.
Plain and simple, these people are liars and they hide behind word games to twist facts into their own rationalizations.
