I actually tried on @prodmod's M.P. with an iBook G4, a book, and a few other goodies. It was pretty comfy. A little small perhaps but I could always buy a larger size. It didn't seem quite as rugged as the Freight and R.E. Load bags I've looked at but those are $200+

Like Eric said, the Manhattan Portage bags all have a pretty great classic look about them that keeps them from sticking out like a soar thumb like many other bags.
