Herman replied on November 20, 2009 22:06 to the problem "Spot clean-up" in Gowalla:
Yes, I work at the university. Google is a great resource! ;-)
The north campus has facings on Forest Park (5801), Inwood (2201) and Harry Hines (6000). By extension, there are, technically, three addresses from which to choose.
It is true that Radiation Oncology (Moncrief) and the Rogers Imaging Center (Clements) are located on the opposite end of north campus from, say, the building in which I work (Simmons). Nevertheless, they are all interconnected. (This is readily seen on Google Maps, http://bit.ly/7yHLLP — her is an interactive map to better illustrate my point, http://bit.ly/4Dq1T3 )
Therefore, I guess my primary request would be to alter the "Hospital" category. There is no hospital on this particular campus — only the two outpatient resources previously mentioned. At the very least, I would suggest changing the category to "Other - Medical".
Ideally, the individual creating the resource would have done a better job identifying it (i.e. whether they were visiting Radiation Oncology or the Rogers Imaging Center buildings). Those patient related services are distinct from the majority of the basic science research conducted. As such, separate identification has merit.
Do as you see fit, based upon the information provided.

Spot clean-upUT Southwestern Medical Center is a large complex. There are currently four listings for various parts of the campus. Two refer to the same location; one is mislabeled. I would like to suggest the following corrections, for clarity.
UT Southwestern
Dallas, TX - Other - Medical
http://gowalla.com/spots/81761
...is an outpatient clinic building. It is located on the "west campus".
Suggested change: UT Southwestern, west campus
UT Southwestern
Dallas, TX - Hospital
http://gowalla.com/spots/48894
...is not a hospital. There are multiple hospitals associated with UT Southwestern and this location is not one of them. There are two outpatient clinics/services located at this site: the Moncrief Cancer Center and the Rogers MR Center and both are located on the "north campus". Otherwise, the north campus complex is devoted almost entirely to basic science research.
Suggested change: merging with the following spot...
UT Southwestern, north campus
Dallas, TX - Lab

Herman asked a question in foursquare on October 30, 2009 18:19:
Venues outside of immediate region and editing bug — SuperuserI have been standardizing the Flying Saucer Draught Emporium entries in Texas and have discovered two issues I can't seem to otherwise resolve.
1) There is no foursquare in Little Rock, AR. Yet the Little Rock location has been entered as falling under the Dallas/FW purview. I hate to mark it as "closed" or request deletion. OTOH, being 475km away, it really does not belong as part of the Dallas/FW area.
What to do, just leave it be?
2) In attempting to standardize and complete the information pertaining to the San Antonio Flying Saucer location, attempts to save are met with an error indicating,
"Something unexpected happened while serving the page at /edit_venue"
At first, I thought this had something to do with me being in one region and not having editing rights for another. However, I had no problem editing the entries for Austin or Houston.
Is his a limitation from my perspective or is there a bug or other issue involved?

Okay, I received a Delicious Library 2 license, entered it and now I receive an error indicating the license expired 28 November 2004. – velociped, on September 10, 2008 11:40
