"Targeted" ads not working

When I first started listening to Spotify, there were ads saying that you'd target users with relevant ads - why then am I getting ads for obnoxious, vapid, nauseating euro pop when I'm listening to bands like Nick Cave, The Who and The Kills? The ads you're streaming to me couldn't be more off target.

I've tried all the desktop RSS clients on the Mac, also used Safari, Google reader, other FF add-ons for RSS, but Feedly absolutely destroys all of them.
