Vikingdread asked a question in BlinkList on December 22, 2008 13:56:
Bye allI've decided to switch over to another bookmarking service and I am leaving Blinklist. I think I lost my confidence.
To the Blinklist staff: I wish you all the best in your efforts to make Blinklist a usable application again.
To everybody here who is waiting: I hope you all get your Blinklist back in order soon.
Bye all

Thanks Cameos. I just created a Delicious account and I must say it looks good! – Vikingdread, on December 09, 2008 13:53

Please tell us what is happeningHi guys,
Your last Twitter-message is from a week ago. I haven't got a clue what you are doing to Blinklist. All I know is that it still isn't working.
Your silence is not really helping. I haven't got a clue what is happening behind the scenes, I don't know how much longer I have to wait for some basic functionality to be back up.
If you guys could just let out a small message daily, about progress made or unsuspected setbacks, that would be really kind of you.
How about it?
Vikingdread reported a problem in BlinkList on December 07, 2008 00:25:
after logon: strange startpage and I appear to be logged off1. Right after logging in I get a startpage that looks like I am not logged in (see attached image)
2. All my Blinks are 38 years old
3. It is full of ads
4. There are terms in my Public Lists that I did not put there like "Bi-sexual Women"...LOL
5. I can't do anything on that page
Where is my normal start page? Why do I appear to be logged off right after logging on successfully?

Vikingdread asked a question in BlinkList on December 04, 2008 10:35:
When will basic functionality be stable?Ok, I have accepted the fact that I have to wait for my links to come back. I have accepted the fact that the tag cloud is gone, that the stars are gone and that the entire interface has changed.
I am prepared to wait for everything to come together, but I would like to get a clear answer to this question:
When will basic Blinklist functionality be stable?
By basic functionality I mean: adding a link to a site and assigning some tags to the link.
Right now I don't trust the app, because tags that I add keep disappearing en I notice that you are still making changes to the interface.
In short: I do not trust the new Blinklist yet, it feels unstable and dodgy. So before I start Blinking sites again, I would like to know if it is safe and if not when you guys think the new app will be stable enough for us to work with.
Thanks in advance for your reply!

Why didn't you guys just leave the old Blinklist in place until the new version was really ready for public use?It is not just that lots of people are still waiting for their missing links to be restored, but also the new interface is lacking in functionality.
If I enter tags for my links they disappear in the blink of an eye. The cloud is gone. The thumbnails don't function. The rating system is gone (stars). The Folders functionality is unclear.
In short: this looks like an application that is still in heavy development, not like a stable production app.
Why did you choose to do it like this? Why not run the new app and the old one side by side and allow people to choose which one they want to use, until the new Blinklist is REALLY usable?
I just don't get it...-
