The location of the spot, Starbucks - Hopewell Center, that I created is not correct, but when I tried to move it to the correct place. The system complains that the new location is too far away from the original location.

Although I never heard back from Robert of CuriousSquid, the current version (1.05) of Pingle seems to be working.

I just tried what you'd suggested and the page at http://api.ping.fm/ on my iPhone and Mac Safari both dispaly the ":)" smiley face. Unfortunately, the problem still exists within Pingle.

I was doing this on my home WiFi network via an Apple TimeCapsule through my ISP (Netvigator). I had tried turning off the WiFi on my iPhone and connect through the 3G (HSDPA) network provided by my mobile carrier (Smartone-Vodafone) in Hong Kong. Unfortunately, the problem still exists.

Not able to initialize the application. The application keep giving me the warning that I need an Internet connection to continue.

I had tested my Internet connection with Safari on my iPhone and it is functioning properly.

@4thawallan there's no need to be disappointed. The problem Ping.fm encountered is a registrar transfer issue and eventually the paper work will be straighten out, and the DNS around the world will be updated and things will be back to normal.

In the mean time HeloTxt.com is a good alternative, but I still prefer Ping.fm.
