Ooh, I just received the reset password email. If I click the link, I see the "something is technically wrong" page again. – kissifer, on July 17, 2008 10:21

Hello,
I have this problem also, or at least a similar one.
Username: kissifer
-Did you receive the email saying your account is in the process of being restored?
Yes
-Did you receive the email confirming the restore, but still can't log in?
Yes
-Are you able to view your profile or log in at all?
Yes and No. I can see http://twitter.com/kissifer if I delete your cookies, but after I try to login I constantly get a "something is technically wrong" page.
-What happens when you enter your email address here: http://twitter.com/account/deleted
If I delete twitter.com cookies first, it says "Your account is still in the process of being deleted. When it is done, (within 24 hours) you can come back here to restore it." I've tried twice now, separated by more than 24 hours.
-Are you able to change your password via this link:
http://twitter.com/account/resend_pas...
I see a page saying that instructions have been sent to me, but no email appeared (after 5 minutes or so). Yesterday when I tried, I received the email and clicked the link it contained, but didn't receive a reset password (I can't remember exactly what happened).

My problem is the email I used was typed incorrectly so now that I deleted the account I can no longer reactivate it since the email is incorrect. I sent in a help ticket 11 days ago and still no response! My cellphone is attached to that deleted account and I want it attached to my current account. HELP~

I've been having this problem for well over a month, more like two at this point. It seems that this has been a problem for months and no one seems to have gotten anything fixed.

A few days ago, I tried to restore my account.
I couldn't log in, so I requested a new password from:
http://twitter.com/account/resend_pas...
I got the email, but when I click on the link, it takes me to:
http://twitter.com/account/resend_pas...
And shows me a page that says:
"Something is technically wrong.
Thanks for noticing—we're going to fix it up and have things back to normal soon."
After that, any page I went to at twitter.com gave me the "Something is technically wrong..." page.
If I reset my browser, I can start the process over, and request a new password, then get the email, and then click on the link and get the error, etc... All over and over again...
Help.
Oh, if I go to:
http://twitter.com/account/deleted
And put in my twitter name, it says:
"We couldn't find you. Please double-check your username or email and try again."
But, if I put in my email address, it says:
"Your account is still in the process of being deleted. When it is done, (within 24 hours) you can come back here to restore it."
I deleted it a few months ago, and started the restore a few days ago.

I've been having this problem for a couple weeks now. I've sent emails to support & help & Crystal with the information requested, to no avail. I can see my profile, but when I try to log in I get the "something is technically wrong" page. When I search for my account (lunette_fouroux), go to the deleted account page, or try to reset my password, Twitter can't find me.
Game A replied on June 09, 2008 10:44 to the question "If the max is 140 characters, why can't Twitter show the whole line? Why cut off the last few characters with an ellipsis?" in Twitter:
Thunderclap, the message did have a reason to exist ! In fact, Twitter uses ASCII to encode accented characters. So an accented character needs more bits to be encoded than 128 "normal" characters : a french accented character counts for two characters without accent, a japanese character (hiragana) counts for 3 (!) basic characters ! A tweet of only 47 japanese characters will exceed the 140 characters limit and will respond by the "oops" message.
Thanks for the vista tip, but completely inappropriate.

Park Silkenson replied on June 06, 2008 03:31 to the discussion "@ replies not showing up in timeline" in Twitter:
I also keep having this issue. It seems to happen in random spurts where @replies to me don't show up in my timeline, but do show up under "replies" so I have to keep checking. This also means that I don't get a text message with the @reply and have no idea that I received a reply unless I check the "replies" tab. Very frustrating.

Hi, I just tried to restore my previously deleted account (shellybean) and I got an email from twitter with a link that I had to follow to restore my account. It then said it would take a bit of time to restore my account and that they would send me another email when it was ready. 18 hours or so later, there is still no email. I just messaged customer support so I'm hoping that will help speed things along.
