Book RatingsIf possible, I'd like to see an average of all the ratings for a particular book on the book's profile page. I might be wrong, but it seems that there are likely to be more ratings for a book than notes. So, if there were some metric of how well received the book was, in general, that would be useful in deciding if I want to pick up a book or not.-

Vishal A. replied on December 30, 2008 19:45 to the question "Fans vs. Followers vs. Friends" in Readernaut:
Ahh, thanks! Yes, it is a tad confusing. I'm actually wondering if "followers" are really necessary. As I see it there can be three situations:
1) Mutually following (friend & follower)
2) I am following someone who is not following me (friend)
3) Someone is following me who I am not following (follower & fan)
In situations 1 and 3, "follower" is overlapping. In fact, I think there will always be overlap in that category. I think you can consolidate relationships into two simple categories:
1) Friends -- people i'm following (including those that are following me)
2) Fans -- people following me that I am not following
That makes a little more sense to me. Just an idea!
Happy New Year :)-
