Sandy was indeed a good service and required lot of effort by Rael to keep it running. But the end was really sad. I never expected such unprofessional and irresponsible attitude from Rael. I myself run a free service online and I understand the difficulties you have to go through to run such services but at the same time you have to realize that you are signing a contract with your users wen you sell them a service. Two weeks of notice was short and showed opportunistic and short sighted attitude of the founder. I for one is going to include sandy in "Unethical business" list.
Dude, customers required more time to migrate and some of them were using the service for considerably long time. Nothing wrong in you exploring a new opportunity but you cant shed responsibility to your customers like this. How difficult was it to add a clause to allow running service for some more time ? When youtube was taken over by google, you tube did not issued a notice asking users to leave... they continued the service and cntinuation of product/service is an important part of M&A. But this takeover clearly shows lack of responsible behavior on Rael Dornfest and twitter's part.
This callous attitude has left a question mark on sevral startup's relaibility. Why would people trust services from small companies when someone can bring down the service in a snap... I am going to ensure that I am not going to consume any service by "Rael Dornfest".

Overall you checkmated yourself... you are the one who has lost credibility, we love sandy and we love twitter.

Guys, please do your customers a favor by droping feature additiona d just making a bug fix release. No we dont need 0.96 we will be happy with 0.95.1 which let us use the app. Please do this before steam runs out and you loose tons of customers. We understand that you are disappointed with app store rating but look from customer point of view, we are more disappointed then you are.
