Tyson Key replied on October 12, 2009 23:45 to the idea "Add Last.fm scrobbling support" in Grooveshark:
It's not really a solution, but http://lastfmstats.livefrombmore.com/... may be a workaround, if anyone's willing to manually input data, or build some sort of "Snorkel" utility to collect the played track data from GrooveShark, and feed it to UniversalScrobbler. (I believe that Pandora.FM worked in a similar manner, for what it's worth).-

A comment on the question "Support for Tracking Wine/CrossOver Processes?" in Wakoopa:
I believe that it might be partially related to window handling, for what it's worth, given that several applications aren't tracked, despite not being CLI-based (AMSN and "native" X11/XAW/Motif applications come to mind). – Tyson Key, on July 16, 2009 09:04

A comment on the idea "Wakoopa Tracker for Android!" in Wakoopa:
Sorry if this appears twice, since the Get Satisfaction authentication system ate my previous verson.
Out of interest, will the Wakoopa Tracker for Android only be available from the Android Market? (Which would exclude people using Android Developer handsets and the Android Emulator from using it, sadly). Or will it also be available as an Android Package (APK) file from the Wakoopa website? – Tyson Key, on June 16, 2009 11:54

A comment on the idea "Portable wakoopa tracker?" in Wakoopa:
Hmm, wouldn't it be possible to wrap it with something like ThinStall? Although I don't know if that would affect the functionality of it. – Tyson Key, on June 13, 2009 15:32
Tyson Key replied on May 30, 2009 16:25 to the idea "Portable wakoopa tracker?" in Wakoopa:
The Wakoopa Tracker is already "portable" somewhat (at least on Windows). All you need to do is install it once on a machine, and then copy the C:'\Program Files\Wakoopa\Wakoopa.exe (if I remember correctly) executable to a USB drive.
You have to run it manually on each machine of course, when you want to use it, and you might need to provide your username and password on each machine you use it on, although it seems to work correctly when used in that manner, from the testing I've done. (I keep a copy of the Wakoopa tracker executable in my home directory on a NetWare share at college, and launch it manually after I log in)...
A comment on the problem "TweetDeck incorrectly reported as Twhirl" in Wakoopa:
I don't use TweetDeck or Twhirl, although I have noticed that the BBC iPlayer Desktop and Adobe TourDeFlex are also being tracked as Twhirl on Linux. – Tyson Key, on May 16, 2009 14:47-

A comment on the problem "Multiple application entries need cleanly merging, after the Linux influx." in Wakoopa:
It looks like they've fixed the "icon blackholing" problems, not sure if they've resolved that issue you're referring to yet (I saw that the generic "star roundel" icon was returned to the 3UK and PulseAudio Volume Control entries). – Tyson Key, on May 15, 2009 11:45
A comment on the problem "Multiple application entries need cleanly merging, after the Linux influx." in Wakoopa:
What would be the best way to deal with items that have already been renamed, but not merged? (Since they've effectively gone into a "limbo state). Ask for the thing I want merged into an entry on the entry I want it merged into, instead of on the entry to be merged? – Tyson Key, on May 15, 2009 11:39

Tyson Key reported a problem in Wakoopa on May 14, 2009 22:52:
Multiple application entries need cleanly merging, after the Linux influx.I have noticed that after the Linux tracker was enabled for the live site, a large number of duplicate entries for various programs have appeared.
The ones which I feel should be merged cleanly are the realplayer and realplay entries (I renamed realplay to realplayer, although the realplay page hasn't updated), dropboxd and dropbox, acroread and adobe-reader (coincidentally, there is also an adobereader entry), amazonmp3 and amazon-mp3-downloader.
I have also noticed an issue where a blank icon will be added when uploading PNG format icons, and repeated attempts to upload the icon will result in an error message.
Thanks in advance.-
