vortal's dashboard

Tried to power on my M1730 today, has been sat in my backpack for the last few days.
I pushed the power on button, the blue on icon on the right hand side lights up, the disk icon and bluetooth do then just the power icon stays on and nothing else. No activity or indication of power to the screen, the lcd display or the keyboard. Will be calling Dell in the morning but anyone got any ideas? Thanks.
