vzaar Jamie asked a question in Spreedly on December 15, 2009 14:13:
Auto Renewal Cancallation NoticeCan the system be set up to email us when someone cancels their auto renew? In other words, can we get real time notification of cancellations?
vzaar Jamie asked a question in Spreedly on December 04, 2009 12:14:
Can you send trial period email warnings? If we use the trial period option and then for example bill 10 days later, is there an option to auto email the client on say day 7, 8 and 9 that they are about to be billed unless they downgrade to one of our free packages?
I don't see any settings and this would be a useful notification tool that would remove a lot of potential customer pain.

Failed Subscriptions2 users this morning saw failed subscription attempts. One was using a visa debit card. I have tested with a visa debit card and it worked. Is there a problem with certain UK cards? What can we learn from the logs you give us?

Charlie,
If you are using Wordpress then can I suggest you follow our guide to adding video into their templates. It requires the downloading of their vidpod software (which is free).
http://vzaar.com/help/faq_embedding_q...
In order to add video to the your pages you require the use of a plug-in. Wordpress have teamed up with Vodpod to create a smart blogging video button that you can drag on to your tool bar. Here is how it works.
1. When you want to add video to your Wordpress blog simply click on the “post To Wordpress” widget in your toolbar and it will open up a pop up window offering you a set of fields with details on your blog.
2. If you do this on the vzaar page of your chosen video, Vodpod will automatically insert the video from your chosen vzaar page into the "Post Video To Your Blog" box. If not then...
3. Simply insert the video code into the top left field marked "Video Preview"

vzaar Jamie replied on August 27, 2009 13:40 to the question "Folders and settings per video." in vzaar:
It is possible to apply settings per video by using your Settings page before you upload. When a video is uploaded with certain settings in place (say for example no border and brand text) then those settings are applied to the embed code for that video.
If you want to have a different subsequent video you can then amend the settings as desired and upload again. What we don't offer yet is the ability to retrospectively apply settings across previously uploaded videos - again because the embed code has been pre-set.

vzaar Jamie replied on August 27, 2009 07:42 to the question "storage limit" in vzaar:
We have no storage limits Matt. You can upload and save as many as you need although we always advise people to manage their videos and delete when necessary in order to keep your account manageable. You can read more here: http://vzaar.com/help/faq_account_que...

Charlie - it is hard for me to tell from what I can see in your original post.
Our embed code is designed to sit comfortably inside most HTML templates. When you upload our video we give back to you the code and that should be enough to copy and paste into the template.
What CMS system are you using for your website templates?

vzaar Jamie replied on August 13, 2009 13:32 to the problem "Videos not showing up in AOL browser or IE 8.0" in vzaar:
Terry - just as a bit of an update.
I spoke with a representative of AOL today and he confirmed to me that the AOL browser is not designed to support videos whether vzaar, YouTube, Viddler etc. The experience is not great and one that they are not actively looking to improve. Their standard recommenedation is that people use IE, Firefox etc.
My father uses AOL and I also spoke with him. Like you, he was unable to view videos through AOL, but our videos did work through IE and Firefox so I'm a little lost as to why this problem persists for you.
We've had no other complains of this from US users but I'm going to do a little more digging.
Your patience is appreciated.

Terry,
I've just tested that link and your videos in IE 8.0 and it works fine here.
AOL, where used as a browser, is notorious for blocking content. Are you able to test this link outside of the AOL browser? I'd be interested to hear if it works?
I can also confirm that your video works on Firefox and Safari.
vzaar Jamie replied on July 30, 2009 19:48 to the question "IE6" in vzaar:
Hi Amisha
Sorry to hear that this is the case. It does sound like your settings are causing the issue. You are right to ensure you are on the latest flash (we work on 9+)
To quote Adobe, "Adobe Flash Player is the standard for delivering high-impact, rich Web content.". It is the software necessary for video to be properly deployed and displayed across the Internet.
As I said we currently use Flash Player version 9. You can download that for free here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
You can also see what version your computer has presently installed here:
http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/a...
IE6 is an older browser and I'd certainly recommend upgrading for free to IE 7 or even the newer IE 8
Let us know how you get on?
