Hi Mark,
It's not always convenient/appropriate to ask folks to text your username to 50500 so we created the "send" functionality which allows you to send your card from your phone to another person.

In the example above, if you text the message "send 3034759204" to 50500, it will send me your card.

If you wanted to send your card to someone else, you would text "send 4155551212" to 50500 (where 4155551212 is their phone number)

Make sense?

Your contact will get your info. We do not send any additional messages or do anything at all with their info. Their request is recorded in your recent activity list, but we will never ever use or give out their number in any other way.

Be sure not to put any spaces in your username when you are requesting it (or when setting it up for that matter!)

Hmm... entering any data after the username should work normally. Send an email to info@contxts.com with the username you were trying to test with and I can look into it.

We don't really have an approval process yet (even tho some of the user interface elements would have you believe otherwise :) At this point, anyone can get your card by texting in your username.

Can you tell me how you are currently trying to send?

Make sure to send the following to 50500: send 3034759204

the number you are trying to send to should just be the 10 digit US number with no +, 1, dashes, etc.

ya...not very good error checking on our end for that kind of thing. looks like we tried to send it to the number "to" which clearly didnt work...

Only the text you put in the "your txt card" section gets sent to the recipient via SMS. However, your additional info is part of your card online and can be retrieved that way.

Your additional info will also be included in the transfer in the 'native apps' we are building for iPhone, Blackberry, Android, etc.
