The iPhone app definitely has some issues with staying up to date, which we are hoping to resolve. The main website should bring your services up to date within a few minutes of your logging in. They may be out of date when you first log in, but give it a few minutes and you should receive a notification that there are new updates. We are hoping to improve this situation, but we have a lot on our plate right now.

To those that are having problems recently:

Twitter is returning invalid JSON to us for some of our users. I just sent an email to their API group about it so hopefully it can be resolved soon.

I'm just trying to clarify here, is the error you are running into happening on the socialthing.com site, or the facebook.com site.

Twitter was having authentication issues yesterday, so can you check your settings page and make sure that Twitter isn't marked as needing authentication?

If it is marked as needing authentication, please re-authenticate and see if that helps.

If it is not marked as needing authentication, you can try removing the service and re-adding it.

A browser refresh after doing this might help speed things up too.

That's strange, a few of us at Socialthing run the site in Fluid, and I haven't seen that issue. What version of Fluid are you running? I just realized that I am still running 0.9.2.2 (I'm updating to 0.9.4.1 to see if that shows the errors), it could be that the issues are affecting a different version.

This is a known issue, and should be fixed as soon as we can release our Facebook Connect functionality. We have everything on our side ready, we are just waiting for the go-ahead from Facebook.

Sorry about this guys. Facebook Connect will solve this problem, but it is not out of beta yet. We have all of the code written, so once Facebook Connect launches it will be fixed.
