A comment on the problem "twitter not updating facebook status" in Twitter:

This worked for me a little while ago. But since Facebook updated (I hate the new one, anyone else?) the one Twitter update I've made (via Twhirl) hasn't updated the Facebook status. At which end does work need to be done to reconnect the two apps? – Lee Colgate, on August 28, 2008 10:59

To solve this issue, I simply started using ping.fm, which allows me to update Facebook, Twitter, Pownce, Brightkite and any other social networks with status updates with the same wording, simultaneously. Works flawlessly.

Twitter is updating my Facebook status at the top of the page, but the previous tweets are not appearing in the Facebook history. Is this a facebook problem or twitter problem?

I fixed it!

In Facebook, on the left-hand bar next to the "Applications" title, click "Edit". (link)

In the list of apps that comes up, find the Twitter app. Click "Edit Settings".

Uncheck "Status Updates" and click "Save Changes".

Go to the Twitter Facebook app page (link)

Click "Allow Twitter to Update my Facebook Status"

It should work now! Horray!
