Just happened to me! Agree with Wayne's point ... what does the OPEN do? Implies a manual open for tray!! Going down to try the unplug it routine!-

Same thing happened to me. unplugged, replugged, opened right up. On the bottom of the unit is a cryptic arrow with OPEN suggesting that you insert something somewhere to open it but there is nothing I could find in the manual. Oh well, works now.....
