add my vote for SMS. on many (most?) phones tapping out a quick sms message is much quicker that sending an email or IM.

Ok, I figured it out. I thought I could put in a contact or group name in the "email to " field. That doesn't work, you have to spell out the email address(es). Multiples work when separated by a comma.

I just started using the cool and powerfull 'roll your own command" feature (one for Kwiry and another as a group email to remember contact details). I see the call was transcribed but there "There was a problem delivering this message" alert. Is it working - did I do something wrong?

Gopingme's syntax is awful - I gave up after 45 minutes. I'm leaning towards a hybrid solution: Google Calendar for reminders and Gubb for lists, with addresses for both in my Dial2Do contacts.

The big things missing are email integration with GCal - being able to look at the original email that I sent (context) at the time of the actual appointment was very useful. I also lose tagging with this solution, so the whole thing has a more cobbled together, less organized feel than Sandy ... :(

I'm looking at Google calendar again. Now with Quick Add, + Dial2do its looking quite promising

Agree 100%. And Rael, reread your post and count how many "we's" and "I"'s there are, and reflect on the general self congratulatory tone. Then when your "official" announcement is sent out, perhaps it will be a little less sanctimonious, and focus more on your thousands of users and what steps they can take to untangle themselves from this mess... – wayne, on November 25, 2008 22:43

And, what, you're relying on people to stumble across this notification on this one website, while the Sandy emails say nothing (and you're still accepting sign-ups). Look, Sandy is/was a great service, but as someone who caries a "CEO" title, your customer relationship skills need some polish...
