Yes, I purchased the Gorillapod SLR-Zoom at target.com. I returned it and order another expecting a different experience. However, the second one has the same odor but not as strong as the first. I've found some forum posts from other users that describe a foul odor as well. I'm pretty disappointed in this and will see if another brick-and-mortar store carries it to test out. If it's not better, I'll definitely be posting to some photography forums and blogs of my poor experience to share my experience with others. I hope that you can address these concerns with the product manager to minimize this issue in the future.
