Interesting.. How do FTP clients like Yummy and others handle this over SFTP?

I have been using Yummy for a long time and while I don't use it for large file ownership and permissions changes, I do use it a lot for small updates like 10-15 files. This keeps me from having to SSH in and cd to the directory and manually doing these one by one. chown -R or chgrp -R is pretty easy to do without having to become an expert on GREP. :-P

FTP clients currently retrieve the UID for these features. Could that method be used/incorporated with ExpanDrive?

You would also need to do chgrp and chown as well.

The newer version supposedly has this feature in Tiger and Snow Leopard but Leopard has a bug which prevents it from working so, I don't know if it's addressed..

Can the search feature be disabled?? Yoono is embedding CSS on pages to underline words and when I try to use Firebug (I develop websites for a living) the search CSS is a problem to work around.

I just downloaded 2.02 and this feature still isn't working which limits expandrive to a cool toy on my system. Having to use an FTP client to set permissions keeps me from using exandrive except to play with it and see if this feature works. Until then, Yummy FTP is still the king..

Not particularly.. Just that I can shift-select a lot of files and set ownership or permissions. This keeps me from having to use the command line all the time. I don't care about all the Yummy specific stuff like scheduling, etc. Just being able to select a lot of files/dirs (recursive) and setting perms/ownerships..

Not sure... Could you not pull that from the remote NIX server? I'm accustomed to working in Yummy FTP and wanted to use ExpanDrive and Pathfinder to do what I do with Yummy on our servers.

Owership and permissions?

Will expandrive be upgraded in the future to support remote file permissions and ownership changes? If so, PLEASE make multi-file change use one GetInfo window instead of opening MANY.

I really like the product but for remote NIX support, this really cripples the product.
