I agree with wii boy. Depending on the brand of router (linksys, d-link, apple airport, etc) and its age, you might have turn the router off and then back on. I notice my linksys required that a few times.

Your "question" is quite original, if a person buys a Wii points card, I think it is because they may want to use it at the Wii Shop Channel (especially since they cost $20 to $50 +). Once you enter your card code into the shop it is non-transferable and it becomes linked to your username. so, I don't think you'll be able to get points from anybody else... Well, unless they use the "gift" feature inside the store...

I was also addicted to it until I went on vacation without my ds and then I lost track of everything so I just stopped.
