We actually just implemented this but I forgot to point it out in our blog.

Calendar iCal file export?I think it would be great to implement a feature which will allow users to take their calendars created with Zenbe and take them anywhere.
What I'm trying to do specifically is sync my Zenbe calendar with iwantsandy[.com], so having iCal files from Zenbe would be great.

That's odd. Outlook 2007 should have solved those problems. Outlook 2003 (pre Vista) had a lot of problems. That's why your todo events without a defined date are excluded from all *.ics feeds. Because they make Outlook 2003 crash.
My best guess is that you've managed to turn off your private calendar feed somehow. Or, there's been a mistake and you're not using Outlook 2007 somehow.
Try this, open up the calendar file. (http://iwantsandy.com/xxx.../list.ics in a text editor and see what's in there. If it's html, then you've managed to turn off your calendar feed. If it's full of VCALENDAR stuff, then the problem's something else.

http://www.iphonesandy.com. I scaled back from my original vision. I need to learn more iPhone Web Dev but this should serve you guys well in the mean time.
Feel free to send me any feedback. You even have a beautiful home screen icon for easy access.

Totally agree.
My major interaction with iwantsandy is through command line entry e.g. "r pay bill tomorrow". Using twitter makes this "d s r pay bill tomorrow" which is OK. But... messy and unnecessary.
IM is a natural way to send these instructions to iwantsandy.
When on the desktop, and on the iPhone, I use mail.app to send instructions to iwantsandy, but desktop mail.app complains when I don't fill in the subject. Not a big deal, but also messy and unecessary.
What I might do, is create an Applescript that will bring up a dialog box for me to enter my command entry, which is sent to my iwantsandy email address.
I think a similar thing on the iPhone would be cool (i.e. click a single icon on the page, which brings up a page whose sole responsibility is to receive text data that is emailed to my iwantsandy account).

I designed this for the iPhone so I guess yeah this should work on a normal mobile browser since I am only using form elements. I have not tried this in those environments. – Fox Mulder, on August 19, 2008 13:10

That's perfect. The stars are aligned both in the constellations and our postings. In this case the star is Lana Turner. I'll definitely check out your post. – Fox Mulder, on August 19, 2008 00:12

Great work Fox! Had to laugh. Had just emailed a blog post that mentioned a Lana Turner poem to my friends and thought I'd emailed you accidentally!
You can check it out the original post here if you're interested (and there's a link to the poem): http://www.43folders.com/2008/08/06/l... – Dougal, on August 19, 2008 00:09
