There's no way to add additional search sites in Miro 2.5.3. I'm working on support for that now while adding support for extensions, but it won't make it into a Miro release until at least 2.7.

In the "Sidebar" menu, there's an "Add Site" item. Click on that, write in the url, and then it'll get added to the Sites section of the sidebar.

There are sites listed in the Miro Guide, but probably not that one.

If you have a backup of the files, you can restore them from backup. Otherwise once you delete files in Miro, they're gone.

Set Auto Download to Off, stop the downloads in process, shut down Miro, start Miro back up again, and then set it to New.

If you click on the feed, you'll see an Auto Download drop down. Change the drop down from All to Off or New.

Yeah, we don't support the LANGUAGE environment variable because we were concerned it would cause other problems.

However, if you set MIRO_LANGUAGE in the environment variables, Miro will use that.

Miro uses the system default language and locale. Are you trying to use Miro with a different language than your system is set for?

Nosillacast: If that's not the case, then what Janet is saying works fine and doesn't have anything to do with getmiro.com or the Miro Guide websites. You would have a link to your feed on your internal web-site. The link must meet the conditions Janet posted above. The internal web-site would need to be a Site inside the Miro application. When the user browsed the web-site in Miro's browser and clicked on the feed link, then Miro would subscribe to the feed.

As of v2.5.3, Miro doesn't support subtitles so it's likely the subtitles are part of the movie as opposed to a stream along-side the movie. On the off chance that you're running into a Miro bug, you could try playing the movie in another video player and see what happens.

I'm pretty sure the one-click links work by sending the browser to the subscribe.getmiro.com server which returns an XML file based on the request with the data Miro needs to subscribe to the feed.

So all you have to do is build a server that returns an XML file with the data Miro needs to subscribe to the feed.

You could easily figure this all out using Ethereal/Wireshark when clicking on one of the one-click links and then mimicking it locally. If that's confusing or doesn't work for you, I can look into it, but I've got a lot on my plate and it'll take me a while to get to.

The better question is "does blip.tv provide feeds with non-flv content?"

I'm pretty sure there are a variety of blip-based feeds in the Miro Guide that syndicate other file formats. You'll have to poke around the blip interface for the right feed url, unless someone knows offhand what it would be or where to find it.

Are you using Windows? What kind of anti-virus software are you using?

When the computer freezes, does it completely freeze or does a blue screen pop up with random gibberish on it?
