I just need your email address to reset you. Send it to william_luk@symantec.com. You will receive a new activation code and go through the process. Any customization in your webtop will not be affected.
This problem seems to appear only with the initial activation / login, and very much reproducible. I will have people look into it.

OK. Just tried this with a brand new account and I am seeing the same problem! I will log this as a bug and have it fixed!
If you logout and log back in, you should see the security image and the welcome message. You should also be able to change the security questions if you remember answers to your original security questions.
If you cannot change the security questions, we can reset your account.

I think there are several angles to this. Single sign-on, I would argue, is just a small part of this.
First, we believe there are definite benefit of having a consistent webtop for people who travels a lot (or simply very mobile) and using different PC's / Internet cafe. With files saved in the cloud (such as box.net, google doc, ...etc), you pretty much can access them anywhere as long as you have network access and a browser. How many time you have visit relatives and loves to have access to your desktop to grab a file / picture? Also, think about a physician working in a large hospital, visiting patients and using PC's in different rooms, and able access his/her own webtop everywhere. You can quickly see the benefit of a consistent personal webtop.
Second, a desktop in the cloud could greatly simplify managing the desktop. My parents and grandparents would not necessary know or care which version of email client, photo viewer, ...etc are on their PC's. If all applications are moved to the cloud, they no longer need to worry about constantly updating / patching applications on their desktop. That would save me a lot of trips to my in-law house to upgrade his PC ;-) All these will be done automatically in the cloud for them. I would agree that we are still at least couple years away from moving all applications to the cloud, but it's coming!
Third, this may not be obvious to many, but there is a huge advantage of a consistent & controlled desktop for large business or organizations. The cost saving of not having to touch and managing individual desktop (upgrading and maintaining local apps) can add up very fast! A controlled webtop is also much more secured. For example, we have discussed this webtop idea with a large university. Every year, the university is faced with a daunting security problem of several THOUSAND new kids coming to campus, bringing their own PC's and laptops, and connecting that to the school network! This is a huge security nightmare for the school while trying to provide school services. Now, the school can potentially control this by creating a school webtop pre-populated with all school services (such as class schedules, university services, admission information, ...etc) inside a safe environment.
We do appreciate your candid comments, but we, as many of you might also have, are seeing a shift of applications to the cloud. Adoption may come from business first because of the potential cost savings, but consumers will definitely follow as more and more apps are moved to the cloud.

I have been trying to duplicate this for past couple days and couldn't see it. If you ever see this again, can you do a screen print and send that to me? You can email me directly at my Symantec email address, william_luk@symantec.com.
Thanks!
