Will Norris replied on April 15, 2009 21:31 to the problem "WP Plugin OpenID conflict with WPTouch?" in OpenID Foundation:
I've replied on the Brave New Code forums, since I'm fairly certain the problem is with wptouch.
Just for future reference, support questions for the wp-openid plugin should be directed to the WordPress Support Forums, as mentioned in the Plugin FAQ. Had Chris not pinged me about this, I never would have seen it. I do however monitor the WP forums.

Will Norris replied on November 23, 2008 18:13 to the idea "Support for the keyboard arrows (up/dn) in the bible reader" in LifeChurch.tv:
Might I recommend something similar to what Gmail and ffffound.com use:
j = down (probably one verse at a time? at least, not a full page)
k = up
I noticed there is some commented out code in reader.js to use single letters for some actions:
n = next chapter
p = previous chapter
s = share it
t = tag it
e = email it
I think actually turning these on would be great.
Will Norris reported a problem in LifeChurch.tv on November 23, 2008 18:09:
Standard browser keyboard shortcuts are brokenI notice that the YouVersion website has limited support for keyboard shortcuts, but the javascript function which enables this (check_keycode() in reader.js) breaks any other standard keyboard shortcuts by swallowing all keyboard events and not passing them through. For example, I can't use [command]+T to open a new tab or [command]+L to select the address bar.
I believe these events are only swallowed if the Bible reader pane has focus... seems a little inconsistent at times.-

A comment on the question "Domain of email adress" in Vidoop:
Indeed, that seems to be the problem here. That certainly seems like it would create too many false positives (or negatives, however you look at it) unnecessarily. Perhaps you should instead do a DNS query for an MX record. – Will Norris, on August 23, 2008 23:32

Will Norris replied on August 14, 2008 02:21 to the problem "Please reconsider the use of XRDS/XRI" in Vidoop:
While TBL makes a fine point about the use of XRI identifiers as compared to http URIs, that is separate from our use of XRDS as a service discovery mechanism for EAUT. You'll note that XRDS is also used for service discovery in both OpenID and OAuth. XRIs and XRI resolution (XRDS) are defined defined in two separate specs so neither is tied to the other. In fact, there is discussion of making XRI resolution an extension of XRDS-Simple (which we use) as opposed to the other way around.

Will Norris replied on July 23, 2008 15:15 to the discussion "EAUT lookups" in Vidoop:
We certainly considered this, as we share the concern that this could be a pretty steep barrier to entry for large email providers. The problem is that we use XRDS-Simple for discovery which does not allow for that. It even goes so far as to explicitly forbid changing the discovery flow in such a manner.
The least invasive way of adding XRDS to a domain is simply to add an X-XRDS-Location header which specifies where the document can be found. The document itself need not be hosted at the top domain, only a pointer to where it is. This is how Yahoo! currently advertises their XRDS document.
Even still, this may be too much of a barrier for some providers. We are aware of that, but don't have any immediate plans to accommodate that use case. If it proves to be insurmountable, I'm sure we'll revisit it. These types of discussions surrounding the EAUT spec happen at the EAUT Google Group-

We're working on libraries to implement the EAUT protocol at http://eaut.googlecode.com/svn/code/. The PHP library should work, and is built on top of the JanRain OpenID library (at least the XRDS stuff).

Will Norris replied on May 28, 2008 00:48 to the idea "How about donations instead of filler items for free shipping?" in Amazon.com:
what's the profit margin on items that Amazon sells? 15% maybe? Whatever it is, then let Amazon take that portion of the donation. I'd rather put 15 cents in Amazon's pocket and 85 cents to a good charity, rather than spend $1 on something I really don't need and am simply going to throw away when it arrives.-
