winson replied on November 05, 2008 15:10 to the problem "Support for custom icons?" in BumpTop:
Hi there, we actually have the code to pull custom folder icons in place, but currently, there are issues distinguishing between which folders do have custom icons and which do not. For most people who don't have custom folder icons, this means that they would see the scaled up version of the default low-res 32x32 folder icon instead of the higher resolution override that we currently have for XP users.
We're still working on this issue, and will try and address it better in one of the upcoming updates!

Themes are being moved to customize.orgJust a note to all the theme developers out there, we are currently moving our themes over to customize.org (they have a great community, especially for fellow customizers) and would like to ask theme developers to upload all themes there with the category 'BumpTop' from now on.
To get the ball rolling, we have started moving a few of the older themes over, but if you could individually re-upload your themes on customize.org, it will make things easier for us as well as other BumpTop users.
(Let us know when you've uploaded your copy so that we can take our's down)
You can still get your invites by emailling themes@bumptop.com after you've submitted your theme.
Thanks!

Forgot to mention that the login/password for normal users to edit the wiki is at the bottom of the front page (https://bumptop.pbwiki.com/).

Hi Jon,
We're actually filling out the BumpTop wiki (https://bumptop.pbwiki.com/), and one part of which is the keyboard shortcuts, and while we can't guarantee that the debug keys will stay the same from iteration to iteration, if you want to edit/append to the page (https://bumptop.pbwiki.com/BumpTop-Ke...), it might be easier than doing so on getsatisfaction.

We are certainly looking at other platforms to extend BumpTop to, but it is also a significant bit of work to get the kind of integration that we would like for our users.
Be sure to check out http://bumptop.crowdsound.com/ to vote for future Bumptop features and help decide the general direction that we should be taking down the line.
winson replied on November 03, 2008 15:05 to the idea "non transperntly icons" in BumpTop:
I think DonRosa is referring to having an option make the whole icon opaque, instead of transparent? If that's the case, you should suggest that as a new feature through our feature voting mechanism at http://bumptop.crowdsound.com/
It'll help us manage these kinds of suggestions and help us choose the easy to solve/most popular features to implement in future releases.

Note that this problem shouldn't affect the startup of BumpTop, only the shell extension. Can you let us know what's happening when you start BumpTop itself? – winson, on October 30, 2008 21:28

winson replied on October 30, 2008 20:20 to the question "crash" in BumpTop:
Every vista machine should have an application data folder (other BumpTop itself wouldn't be able to startup). It seems like GS ate a part of the path there, it should say
C:\Users\<your name="true">\AppData\Roaming\Bump Technologies, Inc\BumpTop
where you put your user name into the specified part of the path.
However, if there is still no Bump.dmp, then do you have any more information about what happened after the crash? Did you get any other dialogs? And which screensaver are you using?
The more information we have, the better we'll be able to track down the problem.</your>
