I totally agree. For example: I don't want to see all the @replies of the organizations I'm following, but I do want to see them from real people. As it is we're either getting way too much information, or too little. What we want is just the right amount of information.

Hey, I just launched a standard web service API for expanding shortened URLs. It supports many shortening services (more to come) and should make it easier for the Twhirl developers to implement a preview feature. It's called LongURL (http://longurl.org). Check it out!

Yeah, I really need this because the main attraction of Twhirl for me is that it handles several Twitter accounts, and I have a really hard time keeping track of who is following me on which account.

An icon on each tweet would be nice, but it's REALLY needed in the lookup panel, which is the equivalent of looking at someone's profile on the web, except that on the web you can tell if they're following you because it will say message/nudge them in the actions section on the right!

I wish I could go through my list of friends one by one and choose for each person whether I want to follow all their @replies, only their @replies to me, or only their @replies to others that I follow. The way it is now, I have to make the same choice for all of my friends.

Most of the short url services have a pretty simple web API that will return the actual destination URL. Also, Twitterfox has this feature and does it for most of the shortened urls.

Just as a FYI, TinyURL has a great preview feature you can enable. Then when you click on it you are taken to a page that shows the real url that you can then click-thru.

Saved me from many a rick-roll that's for sure. :)

Fear not, as mass email deletion is coming in the next software update (2.0) in June, in the meantime, I'm wondering why you're bothering to delete email out of the trash, as both Yahoo! and Gmail have practically unlimited storage for mail, and the iPhone can be set to automatically purge it after a period of time (Settings, Mail, the account you want, Advanced, Remove).

Same problem here -- hate it! It's not so bad with Gmail, because I can do mass deletes on my laptop, but not with my POP account because they continue to show up in both places.
