I was not seeing a badge either. It turns out I had pointed at facebook.com, not www.facebook.com. I re-created my Facebook SSB to point at www.facebook.com and now I see a badge.

I have spent some time thinking about this and while I appreciate the idea, I think that if there is going to be email integration to the extent you suggest, it would be more appropriate to have it reside on at Hiveminder.com rather than in iMinder. At Hiveminder, they have the server infrastructure to be able to handle both sending emails (which an iPhone app can do) and receiving them.
If users reply to one of these emails that the app sends, I would presume certain task-related actions should be taken . From an architecture perspective, this would mean a whole server-side component for iMinder to receive replies (an investment I am not willing to make now) and quite a bit of mail-handling code.
Again, I appreciate the idea, but it is probably better directed at Hiveminder/Best Practical or at another developer using the Hiveminder API.

wka reported a problem in BookTour on June 06, 2009 18:30:
Emails about outdated author eventsThis morning, I received 7 email notifications of author events in my area. They were all for authors I followed, but they were all for events in the past (Nov 2008 - May 2009). These were not duplicates — I had never received any email notifications for these events. I looked back in my email archives (thanks to Gmail) and I saw that the most recent author event notification email I received before today was from 5/2008.
Perhaps a mail queue that had been backed up was cleared out?

Good news: the next major version of iMinder will include several lists ("Due Today", "Due Tomorrow", "Overdue"). No timetable on the version yet, but it is a ways off, and there will be at least one minor version released before then.
As for custom lists, they might be something that is doable for a future version, but I would need to spend some time looking in to a few related things first.

wka replied on May 21, 2009 02:23 to the idea ""All", "Up For Grabs", and other task views would add value!" in World Airmail Links:
Thanks for the idea. The good news is that the next major version of iMinder (1.1) will allow different "views" (or contexts, as you say) of tasks. The plan is to add views for Overdue, Due Tommorrow and the like.
I don't know if "Up for Grabs" and "Everybody else's tasks" views would make sense in that version because iMinder will not yet have the functionality to accept or assign tasks. Once accept/assign functionality is added (it will probably come a version or two after 1.1) these views would make sense.
As for a timeline, there will be at least one minor version release before the next major version, and it is a nights-and-weekends project for me, so 1.1 is probably a few months away and adding accept/assign is even further.
You comments are appreciated. Thanks!-
