Michael,
When you go to the dashboard to view comments, if the top blog listed on the right side doesn't have any comments, then you don't see any comments.
So I kept going to this page and thinking there was a bug because I didn't see any comments. It wasn't until that recent post got a comment that I saw one comment. And eventually figured out that the blog posts on the right side were filters for showing comments.
There should be a "show all" or at least a comments count (count of all comments and count by blog). Something to let the user know what in fact they are or arent' seeing.
Thanks! Keep up the great work.

wmerydith replied on July 22, 2009 00:27 to the question "How do I bulk delete spam comments?" in IntenseDebate:
Well since there are 800+ comments marked "spam", it would take me nearly an hour to delete them all using the method you describe.
The real issue is a combination of spam getting into the WP database and my understanding of what happens to the spam.
For example, the spam coming through (and being marked as spam) is stuff that should be deleted as per my spam settings in ID.
But that spam is getting through to my WP database. Like I said, I had 800+ last night, all of which was from a single hour last night.
This morning I looked and there were only 20 or so spam comments.
What happened to the 800+? Am I misunderstanding the spam system?
Does spam get marked as spam (correctly) and get pushed to the databases (WP and ID) but then routinely get cleaned out (deleted)?

How do I bulk delete spam comments?How do you bulk delete Spam comments?
I want to delete spam comments all at once in ID, and then have them get deleted on ID and then deleted from WP.

Same here. I'm not sure I understand what the expected behavior is supposed to be either.
If I check all the spam settings, then I expect those comments to go into a spam folder on ID and NOT get passed to my Wordpress DB.
What's happening is I am getting hundreds of spam comments marked as spam put into my WP DB, but with no easy way to delete them.

REPRO STEPS:
Use IE8 (with script debugging enabled) and go to http://fairfieldvoice.com/best-of-fai....
The error is:
"this.el is null or not an object mootabs1.2.js, line 20 character 3"
var mootabs = new Class({
initialize: function(element, options) {
this.options = Object.extend({
width: '300px',
height: '200px',
changeTransition: Fx.Transitions.Bounce.easeOut,
duration: 1000,
mouseOverClass: 'active',
activateOnLoad: 'first',
useAjax: false,
ajaxUrl: '',
ajaxOptions: {method:'get'},
ajaxLoadingText: 'Loading...'
}, options || {});
this.el = $(element);
this.elid = element;
this.el.setStyles({ <<<<<<<<<<<< LINE 20
height: this.options.height,
width: this.options.width
});
---------------------------------
What seems to be happening is that Intense Debate is creating a pause or halt in the readiness of the object model. Hence the this.el issue in the MooTabs script.
Unless you've seen this before it's probably best for me to rip out the existing javascript and replace with jquery. I assume Intense Debate is more friendly with JQuery (as most widgets are)?

Hey, if you're still looking, can you also take a peek at: Javascript Error?
I've narrowed it down to a javascript error but it only seems to come out on pages running Intense Debate.
