ThumbStrip doesn't respect "Private Browsing" setting

The "Private Browsing" function in Firefox is a great way to hide your browsing history from other users of your machine (especially good when you're looking for that surprise birthday present); it doesn't keep any history, etc, of the pages that you visit.

However, ThumbStrips continues to take snapshots when you're in "Privtae Browsing" mode and there doesn't seem to be a way to stop it, short of disabling the add-on completely. Is there a setting I'm missing, or is this something that is being worked on?

I'm using the same version of Growl that you are. I've just tried the beta 9 and it does not fix the problem - no bouncing icon, no Growl notifications.

Is it because I'm using Tiger (10.4.11) rather than Leopard?

I didn't have the setting clicked in beta 7, so I don't know if it would have worked. I turned it on in beta 8 because Growl notifications have stopped working.

Preferences > General is set to bounce the icon - I've tried re-starting Postbox and that made no difference.

Personally, I've found that sending attachments to Windows users is vastly more successful with Postbox than it ever was with Mail.app; even when clicking the "Windows friendly" option I was only ever 50% sure they would be able to open the files. Works every time with Postbox.

This is the one feature that I'm really missing, having moved to Postbox from Mail.app.

I use just one email account for sending messages, but depending on whether they're business or personal, I want to use a different signature. Mail.app allows me to set up as many as I like and change them on a per message basis, but Postbox only allows one per account, which doesn't work for me.

Image preview not automatic

Clicking on an image attachment in the Inspector no longer automatically previews the image; instead, I have to right-click and select "Quick Look". Is this a deliberate change to the functionality (if so, is there a way to change it back) or is it a bug?

Since upgrading to beta 8, Growl notifications have stopped. This is even though all the various settings in Postbox and Growl indicate that notifications should be received.

Rate limit exceeded with Twitterfox

I've just started using Twitterfox with Flock, and this evening it seems to not be working properly: the logo in the status bar has gone red and the tooltip says "Rate limit exceeded. Clients may not make more than 70 requests per hour". When I click on the logo to bring up the Twitterfox box, no tweets are showing.

Twitterfox is set to check for tweets every 3 minutes, so I'm not sure how it's making more than 70 requests per hour - but I did also have this issue when I was using Twitterific.

If it helps, I'm using Tiger 10.4.11.
