incompatibility with VLC-Player?Hello there,
this is a problem I've noticed in every single build, but perhaps I'm the only one, so let me know. While using BumpTop I cannot use my favov media-player -> VLC (VideoLanClient).
I can only see one color and hear the sound.
And I noticed, that this color depends on the chosen theme, as you can see on the images.
No problems I have when I use the Windows Mediaplayer (but who ever wanted to use Microsoft software???)
;)
Greetings

The problem I can see now about my suggestion with the right mouse button is that It could probably activate one of the options of the context menu.
So:
Moving the perspektive could be activated by pushing the right mouse button.
The context menu could be activated by releasing the right mouse button (that's how it goes with most of the context menus, I think).
Greetings

I see that the movement is by clicking the mouse buttons when the mousepointer is in the corner. I like it, and I think it would be better, if the perspektive changed a bit easier.
For instance: I searched one of my icons in the BumpTop room. To get there I needed at least ten clicks. That's a bit too much. What about if you just held the right mouse button to enable to move the perspective?
(sorry for my bad English)

Piles and WallsI really love BumpTop!
Still I want to comment the icon-behavior on the walls.
It is possibile to put a pile on the wall, but when you want to
use the icons of that pile, it will fall down the wall, as you see
in my images. When afterwards you close the pile, it will still
be on the floor and not an the wall.
I want to suggest, that the piles/icons on the walls:
1. should be fixed (no falling anymore)
2. the piles should not show their icons horizontally but vertically (parallel to the wall).
Greetings

4 suggestions1. Idea:
Till now BumpTop has five walls (floor included). What about a sixth wall (the ceiling) ?
2. Idea:
Till now, when you click on a object on the walls: by every single click the icon slips down (due to the simulated gravitation). But I think it would be better if this didn't happen, because every time I have to fix again the position of the icon.
3. Idea:
It would be nice, if you could change the look of every icon, no matter if it is a file or the email-Programm.
4. Idea:
Till now there are 5 fixed perspectives (depending on the specific wall). But Bump Top is in 3d, so why not move the point of view more flexible, without these fixed camera positions?
Greetings

build 3018: making piles only possible by using the context menuToday I tried the 3018 build. I have the same problems with the Icons, piles and so on.
But also another problem: In the version before, when you selected 3 icons, there automatically appeared a symbol to create a pile. But in build 3018 it isn't like that. I only can make a pile by selecting the icons and using the context menu.
That's less fun :( Especially now that I have to rebuild every single icon and pile :(-

falling and flying iconsHello there,
this morning I opened a pile by "GRID".
Suddenly all the icons fell down through the floor, got smaller and smaller, as if they were far away. In the end I wasn't able to click. them. Strange, isn't it? I was only able to read the filenames, but the Icons seemed to fall somewhere without any restraint.
A while before that, I tried to change the position of an icon on the left wall. When I stopped my clicking, the icon was like flying pretty high so I coudn't see it. Finally by typing a part of the filename, I resolved the problem.
I don't know, perhaps these two problems occur for the same reason?
Anyway, great desktop!!!!!!
Greetings
