Sophie, I received your email today suggesting I take my question to Facebook. Since I can't reply to a no-reply return address, I'm responding to you here. Facebook has yet to respond to my question, and so many people out there are having login problems that it makes sense to use GetSatisfaction so that we can all compare notes and help one another. Actually, I thought that's what GetSatisfaction was for. Many companies respond to questions here, while others encourage users to help one another.
Allison replied on June 04, 2009 21:34 to the question "Flock no longer logs into Facebook" in Flock:
Hello,
I have been busy and unable to respond to your suggestions. I resolved the problem by finding a file in Flock's profile folder and deleting it. I had to clear the cache afterward, but that solved the problem. I explained the remedy in depth elsewhere, but I don't know how to find my previous questions on GetSatisfaction.

Allison asked a question in Flock on May 23, 2009 21:04:
Flock no longer logs into FacebookAll of a sudden I cannot log into Facebook using Flock. I click on "login" and absolutely nothing happens. I am not the only person who cannot log onto Facebook, but I'm not sure if the other people are using Flock. I can get into Facebook using other browsers, including the mobile iPhone app and FireFox. I deleted the facebook cookies but still cannot log in. What could the problem with Flock logins be?

Cannot log into Facebook, starting Friday (yesterday).corrected?According to a Twitter search, people from across this country (and other countries) are also having this problem as of yesterday, but not everyone is having it. I found that I can log into the mobile facebook page but not the regular one. Of course the mobile interface is awful if you are on a computer. What is causing this problem? When will this problem be-

Sophie responded to a similar report and directed me to some fixes. Here is what I did that resolved the problem: (I'm posting this message in each area in which this problem was reported but where no answer has been offered in case others have the same problem):
1) Rename "flock-data.sqlite" to "flock-data-backup.sqlite"
(note- this file didn't come up in Spotlight. I went to my user folder --> library --> application support -->Flock and searched through it. The instructions say you can check here for help in finding your profile folder containing the file: http://flock.com/faq/show/64#q_61799)
2) Restart Flock.
3) Now you have a new flock-data.sqlite. Give it a new name (e.g. flock-data-backup.sqlite)
4) Find the file you previously named flock-data-backup.sqlite and rename it to flock-data.sqlite. You should now see your old information and also be able to add new services (RSS, mail accounts, etc.)

Thank you for your reply, Sophie. I looked at the page and followed the instructions but all of my information was lost. Further in the page a Flock user described what he did to fix that second problem, so I did that and restored my lost services. I'll post the fix below. I have a question: do you know why this happens ? I'd like to avoid it in the future!

Allison replied on May 07, 2009 03:14 to the problem "accounts and services broken on mac." in Flock:
This problem has been reported by myself and others but no Flock employee has explained why the service capabilities disappeared, informed us of how we can resolve it ourselves (I've explained in your other Flock posts here that your fix doesn't work for the Mac), or when Flock will fix it. Can you please check all of the Flock complaints over the past couple of weeks to see if there is a pattern in the problems reported?
The problem is: no RSS, no mail accounts, no social network accounts exist any longer. The information is no longer recognized, so Flickr, mail, RSS, etc. can no longer even be set up. This means that the services that Flock offers that makes it different from other browsers simply don't work anymore.
