For anyone else having this same problem, as a temporary fix, you can change your settings to protected updates, then remove the people from your list manually, then change your settings back. It's a pain, but it works. NOT ideal for the long run, I hope twitter fixes whatever has gone wrong.-

It says I've blocked people, but they still show up as followers.I am unable to block people. It has been almost a week that I've been having this problem and I haven't been able to actually block anyone for that entire length of time. I'm being followed by tons of spammers and there is nothing I can do about it.
When I click "block" and follow the normal blocking process, it doesn't work. The people still show up on my followers list, except now instead of "block" it now says "unblock" next to their names. They are still showing up on my followers list.
This is incredibly frustrating, and I know that I am not the only person to have made this complaint and I don't see any updates anywhere by Twitter saying that this problem is being resolved or worked on that don't already say that the issue has been fixed already. Clearly it is not fixed.
I have at least an entire page of "followers" that I have tried to block that are still showing up on my list. Even when I log in from another account, they are showing up to the public as still following me.
PLEASE FIX IT.

Mine is doing the same thing as Haven's. It's REALLY bothering me, because I will get 10 spammers in one genre if I can't block one of them...and I don't want to be seeing them on my account.
It's been about 4 days with some of the people I've blocked and they are still showing up on my followers list and they have an "unblock" option, but I'd rather they just disappear like they're supposed to.
I love Twitter, but this is really frustrating.
And to clarify, It's doing this to me with ALL users I want to block, not just certain ones. -

The people I block are showing up on my followers list still, though it says "unblock" there instead of "block"...so I guess they are blocked? It'd be nice if they'd disappear from my followers list. If one is on there, I get bombarded by 10 different spammers of the same genre until they disappear. It's been 4 days with some of them and they'e still showing up.
