xeyr replied on October 13, 2009 03:30 to the idea "Tweets not shown" in atebits:
The twitter API only returns a certain number of tweets when called. When you open Tweetie, it remembers the tweets that were previously loaded (in your case, 1 day before), and then goes as far back as the API allows (in your case, the last hour).
Not that this is an answer, but if you followed less people, or if your followers tweeted less often, you wouldn't have that gap.
The only way Tweetie could eliminate that gap is to make as many API calls as necessary to fill the gap (could be one, could be 100, depending on when you last had Tweetie open, and how many tweets your followers have made since then).

Consistent tweetie: URL scheme between iPhone / MacThe tweetie: URL scheme is not consistent between the Mac and iPhone versions of Tweetie.
Example:
tweetie:hey%20@atebits,%20this%20is%20strangely%20inconsistent!
On the Mac, it pre-fills a tweet with the text "hey @atebits, this is strangely inconsistent!", but on the iPhone it will just open up Tweetie.
However, if the message text is a URL, e.g.
tweetie:http://www.atebits.com/
then both the iPhone app and the Mac app will open and pre-fill a new tweet with the URL.
It would be very useful if the iPhone app shared the same functionality as the Mac app.
(loosely related to this idea)
iPhone app behaviour is the same with Tweetie and Tweetie 2

A comment on the idea "Saved searches in left sidebar" in atebits:
The problem is that they don't persist through close. I'm constantly closing and re-opening my twitter client when I move from home/work and setting up my search windows each time will quickly become tiresome. – xeyr, on April 20, 2009 22:24
xeyr marked one of Jonathan Wight's replies in atebits as useful. Jonathan Wight replied to the idea "Saved searches in left sidebar". xeyr and 3 other people think it's one of the best replies.

Firstly, this is definitely a feature I would love to see implemented one way or the other. I have a couple of regular searches that I check and it would be much quicker to have them saved.
Personally, I would prefer to have ALL previous searches remembered in the drop down menu, above Trends, and for that list to persist across accounts and through restarts.
But I would also like to have the ability to add specific searches to the sidebar as an extra tab, for fast access.-

A comment on the discussion "Changes for SMS users: the good news and the bad" in Twitter:
For the volumes twitter would be sending, if they were paying 7.7c per message, they were getting fleeced. They should be able to negotiate a much, much better rate than that, even with the "friendly" Australian telcos. – xeyr, on August 14, 2008 02:45

YAAT ... Yet Another Aussie Twitterer ... Pretty annoying to find out after the fact that I can get SMS DMs any more. Would've been nice to get warning and/or scaling down the service over time rather than just "Oh hai, we turnd off ur sms"
Including Australia in your blog updates would be nice - at least let us know if you're (a) working on something here as well or (b) leaving us to work out alternative solutions.
