demartini was the man's name. he passed on a couple of years ago, not before selling his bag design to MP and his name to an outfit either in nj or connecticut. try demartinibags.com – xypher, on July 08, 2008 21:26

Lauren J. replied on June 02, 2008 21:18 to the question "larger backpack?" in Manhattan Portage:
Hello,
Thank you for your interest in Manhattan Portage bags. We do come out with several new designs every year. Although we do have new backpack designs in mind, the most common size of backpack we get inquiries on is a school sized bag, like the 1202 or 1210. Although we may make a larger bag in the future, we do not have any immediate plans to ad a larger backpack to our line.
xypher asked a question in Manhattan Portage on June 02, 2008 21:11:
larger backpack?was in your store recently looking for a backpack(1210) i saw online. it's a little to small for my purpose and was wondering if manhattan portage would be making a larger version down the road. that ballistic backpack(2103) just does not interest me.
