I had this problem also. I tried manually syncing several times and it still failed. I was all ready to send a bug report then I tried one more thing. I opened Xmarks for Safari Settings (a.k.a. Xmarks for Safari system preferences) and changed my login from username-password to email address-password (same password). Sync started working; I'll see if if keeps working.

    Xmarks, Chrome, and bookmark duplication
I installed the Chrome development channel specifically to use Xmarks which I currently use on IE, Firefox windows and mac, and Safari (mac).

I installed xmarks for Chrome on a version of Chrome running on a VMware virtual PC on my mac and also on a version of Chrome running on a real PC.

Both installations went relatively smoothly (Chrome crashed on the real pc), but the real problem occurred in Firefox running on the mac.

I had carefully de-duplicated my bookmarks a few weeks ago. After installing Crome I get several messages from bookmarkDD (a firefox add on) that bookmarks were duplicated. I can only assume that when Chrome synchronized its bookmarks some things got duplicated.

Later, and this may not be related to the duplicated bookmarks, I discovered that all my Firefox mac bookmarks were gone. Thanks to Xmarks superb backup facility I recovered them and things seem to be working smoothly now, but I thought you might like to know about these problems.

    Bumptop on virtual machines
Does anybody have experience running Bumptop on a virtual machine (e.g. Parallels, VMWare, or MS Virtual Machine)?
