I heard back from the editor of that Short Cut that we don't have plans to update it to the current versions right now.

Well, let's catalog what's come out since version 1.2 of Rails and version 1.2 of Capistrano: Rails 2.0 and Capistrano 2.0 (and several point releases of each).

I think the question is: "Is O'Reilly planning to update this PDF to reflect the newer software?"

I read the question as "I just bought the book today, but recipes are for 1.2. Will the book be updated, or is there already an update?" I think he's confusing Capistrano 1.2 with Rails 1.2. Uh, that's my guess.

But don't mind me, I just wandered in from the GS sidebar. :D
