Yeah, same issue here with the random disconnect, or the noboby can hear me but i can hear them problem. A firmware update is seriously needed to really make this a top notch headset. I do agree with harlekyn's issue with hanging up and redialing the person you just talked to, it needs to be fixed. How about a call begining and call end confirmation tone too?!!! I dont like talking to the air or not knowing if the other person hung up b4 me without looking at my phone!
zach replied on July 03, 2009 04:19 to the question "Firmware updates for the Zivio?" in Joby:
Things like touching the multi function button once for voice dial instead of twice does not require a different chip. Redial should be made two button taps not one. Can something be done about the audio? It seems unbalanced, muffled. Its plenty loud. I think it has too much low end not enough high. Oh, and there is no tone to let you know the call has ended. It just goes silent. So when i drop a call or something and my phone is in my pocket i dont know the call has ended til i notice nobody is talking to me. Other headsets i've owned do have a notification tone for call start and call end. Can this be put into a firmware update? Thanks for the help

Good job Joby!I love this headset it really went beyond my expectations. A firmware upgrade to make the speaker in the headset a little clearer and to get rid of the buzzing sound during conversations would almost make this headset perfect. All in all I think Joby did a very good job. I don't own a JB2 but I've seen plenty of reviews that people thaat those that have had both have said the zivio is way better at noise reduction and makes your voice sound natural.

Finally got my zivio, this thing is really awesome. Incase anybody else was wondering the answer to this ?. I can stand right next to the 5hp cyclone vacuum and the pnuematic saw (which is extremely loud) and carry on a conversation and my wife cant tell i'm at work unless i'm almost on top of the thing. I think the only place that would be any louder is being on the runway with a commercial jet. I do have a couple of complaints though, the zivio coud stand to lose some weight, just make it all plastic, the weight tends to pull on your ear a little especially if you're doing a lot of moving around you'll need to adjust it a few time a day. Joby needs to make different ear pieces (checkout klipsch audio headphones) just a suggestion...a strong suggestion. Can you guys please do a firmware upgrade to get rid of the buzzing sound from the speaker and to make the speaker sound a bit clearer? There is too much bass in it and sometimes it makes the other person sound a bit muffled. I would like to hear your thoughts on this Peter. Please don't come out with a new headset anytime soon I just got this one less than a week ago. Did I say this headset is awesome and performed beyond expectation? Guess it don't hurt to mention it twice.

By the way i work with an automatic saw and machines that use 125 psi air supply that can be loud sometimes, there is also a constant droning sound from the hydraulics on about 6 of these machines. my current motorola h12 doesnt cut it at all, not much noise reduction. people complain about background noise all the time
