Hey Zach,
So, the compartment isn't as much smaller as just in a different location.
Because it has a zippy compartment accessible from the outside of the bag, it has to be w/in the specs listed on the website. The bag just zips around your laptop, so it can't be too tall or it won't zip closed.
I would recommend getting a Large commute bag.

Hello Fw190bvi,
I again apologize for the errors and take responsibility for not getting your bag to you as promised. No excuses offered here. If you would like to call me personally regarding your order or the service you received you can do so anytime at 800-865-2513 x834.
If there's some way to make the situation right, we'd like another opportunity.
Take care,
Mark

Missing loop when having a Limited Edition fabric for the middle panel, as shown in the Bag Builder?Hello. Within the Bag Builder of a large laptop messenger, when you change the middle panel's material to a Limited Edition fabric, the loop on the lower front disappears, but it's there when you change it back to a normal color. Does this mean having a limited edition fabric for the middle panel will cause the bag to be missing that loop? And how tough are the limited edition fabrics, really? As tough as ballistic/cordura?

I should be fair in mentioning that if I bought the cheapest laptop bag (of the ones without the J Hook shoulder clips that broke) it would cost me an additional $33.95 ($10 for me to send bag back to you, $10 in addition to my $100 credit to purchase a $110 bag, $13.95 for shipping). Still unacceptable.
Why should I have to pay any money to receive a replacement. Being without my bag and having to send it back is hassle enough.
Oh, and the figure in the prior post should be $92.95 if I get a $165 bag (my original bag is not available), $65 in addition to $100 credit for the bag, $10 to send broken bag back, $17.95 for shipping).

Will my Acer 5920G fit in the Commute 2008?.. and some other questions.Hello, I've an Acer 5920G laptop, and its dimensions are 364 (W) x 270.2 (D) x 30.8/43.7 (H) mm. It has to be forcefully stuffed into the Medium Laptop Messenger's laptop compartment to fit, but fits comfortably in the old Commute XL's.
I heard that the new Commute 2008 has a smaller laptop compartment than its old bro. Is this true? Will my laptop fit in the Commute 2008? And is there any new colours coming for Commute 2008 Large soon? :D
Thanks!
(I don't have access to a bag shop where I can test the Commute 2008 at)
