It definitely does import the ratings data...at least from iTunes it does. However, I want to know if ratings sync BACK to Songbird from my iPod.
If I rate a track on my iPod, when I re-sync with Songbird, will Songbird reflect the rating in its database as well?? That is what I really want.
If Songbird does that with rating, playcounts and last played information (updates its database when I sync my iPod like iTunes does), then I am SOLD. I LOVE SONGBIRD. Just need this capability -- If it only tracks playcounts and ratings made on my PC in Songbird, then I can't use it fully. Does that make sense? If I rate 50 songs directly on my iPod while on vacation, as soon as I get home and plug in my iPod, I want all those ratings to be reflected in my Songbird database as well. :)
Great product. LOVE IT --- just need this ability and I will be onboard 100%!!

Have there been any new developments in this area?
I listen to my iPod all the time and always rate music and like to also have record of every time I listen as well...
Are there any plans to have Songbird actually get that user data back from the iPod and integrate it back into the Songbird database??
This is a HUGE thing for me. In fact, once this is possible, I will switch to Songbird full-time.
Thanks! :)
I should also add that I don't care if the data is actually saved to the files. I just want the personal data from my iPod (which syncs to Songbird) to sync BACK into Songbird. I want the data that I played XYZ Song at this date/time and gave it 4 stars to transfer back into my Songbird library. :)
If it does that, I'm sold and BYE-BYE iTunes. :D

Do Ratings Sync From iPod to Songbird? If I rate a track on my iPod, will that rating be reflected in Songbird? IE, does Songbird read that information from my iPod? I am looking at switching to Songbird, but being able to rate tracks on my iPod and have that reflected in my library is very important to me. :) Thanks!

Can Songbird Play M4A Files?Does Songbird support playback of unencrypted (such as iTunes plus) m4a files? I'd like to get off iTunes altogether. My music library is comprised almost entirely of mp3 and flac files (which I obviously cannot play in iTunes) but I do have a few M4A albums purchased via the iTunes store. They are iTunes Plus m4a files (not encrypted). Are they playable via Songbird?
