Finally got it working. Seems like the issue was the network I was on, which uses 802.1X for authentication. I was browsing the Internet on both my laptop and my phone while trying to figure out the syncing issue, and I've never had any issues with other networking/bonjour apps... I even set up an ad-hoc network between my Mac and my iPhone, but it didn't work. However, just had a chance to try it out at home on my 802.11g network, and it worked without a hitch! *Much* faster syncing too—you guys weren't kidding about that! Thanks very much for your help, y'all have been really responsive.
P.S. I don't suppose it'll be any help, but http://wireless.ucdavis.edu/ has a general description of the network I was on, in case you see something obvious that'll help you if anyone else has this issue. Or it might not even be the network, maybe the evil spirits in my laptop just decided to give me a break for once. Anyway, cheers.

MobileMe credentials are stored insecurelyMobileMe credentials are stored, unencrypted, in the preferences file. This is bad behavior. If using the user's default MobileMe account, there is no need to store the credentials, because the user can grant one-time/ongoing permission for Cha-Ching to pull this data out of the user's keychain. If not using the default MobileMe account, you can store whatever the user enters in the keychain, which is encrypted.

No Apple TV or other hardware trying to sync with iTunes. I cleared out Cha-Ching for Mac's preference files, logged out, logged back in with my login items disabled, and rebooted my iPhone. With nothing running except Finder and Cha-Ching 2, I still get the issue. Naturally, I am reluctant to reset my iPhone, but I might try doing so later.

No place to enter four-digit sync codeAfter upgrading to the latest Cha-Ching my Mac (99) and my iPhone (1.5), I can no longer sync. The device shows up in the device list, but when I try syncing, no interface appears on my iPhone to enter the four-digit code my Mac instructs me to enter. I tried deleting and reinstalling Cha-Ching for iPhone, but I got the same result. I've attached images of the screens I see.
