/api/account/verify_credentials.xml should definitely log the username and IP on failure. You're not seeing that?

By default StatusNet sends logging message to syslog, but you can configure it to send logging to a file of your choosing.

$config['site']['logfile'] = '/path/statusnet.log';

I'm wondering whether GoDaddy is properly respecting mod-rewite rules. Do StatusNet fancy URLs work for you okay on GoDaddy? If not, you might try changing your API endpoint from:

http://yoursite/api

to

http://yoursite/index.php/api

Each group on identi.ca has an RSS feed. For example, the StatusNet group (http://identi.ca/group/statusnet) has this feed: http://identi.ca/group/statusnet/rss You could use a service such as Twitterfeed (http://twitterfeed.com/) to pipe the group's updates to your Twitter account.

Identi.ca has ~ 50K users, but if you include the entire OpenMicroBlogging network, the user base is much larger and includes big sites like bleeper.de and army.twit.tv.

I know your client has "Twitter" in the name, but that's okay by us :) We have been gaining a lot of traction in the Twitter development community with lots of clients supporting Identi.ca and Laconica, but we need better support for the the Blackberry class of devices. It may not be that much work -- we have an almost 100% Twitter-compatible API. Please see:

have you considered adding Identi.ca and Laconica support to TwitterBerry? This could be a quick win because Laconica has a near 100% Twitter-compatible API, and having support could help both products / projects - Identi.ca / Laconica needs Blackberry support (especially for private corporate installs) and it would open up a new user base and maket for TwitterBerrry.
