It sounds like the XPI extension is not associated with FireFox. Not sure why not since it is default behavior.

While I appreciate your angst regarding Ping Fire, please realize that it is a free software product and it is worked on using my spare time. My day job (which pays the bills) and my personal life have been crazy these past few months. I'm sorry that I can't get an official upgrade out to you as quick as you would like.

A pre-release of version 0.0.5 of BlackPing is available from: http://bit.ly/bp_pre.

This seems to resolve some issues reported by some BlackBerry Bold users. If you have any problems with this pre-release please post them under this topic. Be sure to include: The name of the device, the version number of the device, your wireless carrier and the OS version (include all numbers. Example: 4.7.0.75).

Remember - This is just a pre-release of beta software so you may run into issues. If the application becomes completely unusable for you, download the previous version from: http://bit.ly/blackping.

Some people have reported success with the Bold, others are having trouble. We are aware of the issue and working on it now.

Oddly enough BlackPing has been reported to work (http://bit.ly/P6lD) on the Bold and with that OS. Are you using a data or WiFi connection?

BlackPing has it's own GetSatisfaction page (http://getsatisfaction.com/schwenkcon...) since it is in no way associated with Ping.FM.

Please re-post your problem there and include what phone you're using, the OS version and your carrier.
