I received a dell xps m1330 almost 2 months ago as a warranty-issued replacement. My computer recognizes the AC adapter, but says the battery is not charging. In addition, when I turn the computer on or restart an error comes up saying that the battery is not recognized. Is there anything that can be done even though I am outside of my warranty? Are there warranties on individual parts that have to be honored despite the warranty for the overall system? I feel like there has to be some sort of customer protection for stuff like this. I am looking for any help possible seeing as I am a graduate student 160K in debt.
