We import as many items as the feed contains, so you should ask their support at http://vi.sualize.us/contact/ to increase that number.

I still have problem with vi.sualize.us RSS import - soup imports max. 15 items per import. i.e. if I tagged 50 images between imports, only 15 gets imported :(( – Donaldas, on August 07, 2008 14:03

I tried what you said. but I dont like the way it integrates. For example librarything. It just adds my book to the feed. But where does the book come from. It should at least say that I added that book to my collection? Well maybe im wanting to much out of this?
Then the lastfm thing. You can solve this the way friendfeed of socialthing solves this? Group recent played songs in 1 post. For example a daily post? :)
Then events. I tried adding the lastfm event feed (my own) but the post date seems to be the date the event was created on last.fm .. so that sucks :D but this is not a crucial feature for me anyway.. it would be nice to have something like "Jonas will be attending ..."
The thing is. I would like something that lists my entire social life on 1 page. This one does come close but i guess for the simple things like events and library changes and stuff this doesnt fit? I got that from facebook minifeed wich does this very well.
Another issue is that I cant even add an external link in the template. I could never link to my own site unless i make a post of it?

Hi there,
Glad you're finding Soup useful.
You did notice that you can import any RSS feed, right? (At the bottom of the "Me elsewhere" dropdown.) Many of the feeds you listed can be imported just fine this way.
We actually even already have special customizations/import filters for some, like the Last.fm currently played songs. The only reason that particular feed is not in the dropdown is that we've found it tends to feel spammy, flooding the entire account.
Others like Facebook (or Google Reader shared items) aren't there because they're hard to fit into our input interface, since we'd need to instruct you where to go on FB to enable feeds, and then enter the secret URL generated there.
Yet others aren't in there because we found their feeds to not really be suitable (StumbleUpon: No timestamps, Upcoming.org/Last.fm events: Chronological feeds don't work well for calendar data) and importing them properly would require API access or similar.
So my suggestion would be: Try importing all of those through manual RSS imports. If there are any that work fine in principle but look really bad, we'll be happy to write special filters to make them fit into Soup more beautifully (like we did for Flickr, YouTube, etc – whose RSS are full of junk, instead of just giving you the photo/video embed that we import).
Let us know how it goes!

I'm missing a lot of features...Hey,
I discovered soup today and I love the idea behind it. Its simpel to use and does the job well. But personally I'm missing a lot of features like:
- youtube favorited videos
- flickr favorited photos
- librarything or shelfari integration
- facebook integration :)
- last.fm events / played tracks, ..
- flixster
and probably some more im not thinking of right now.
I tried a bunch of services today and this service is the one that appealed to me the most.
Although im thinking of writing something my own just to have integration with the sites / features i really like.
Is there anything available that does something like this? I dont need tumblr funcionality because i already have a tumblr account and that works well. so chyrp isnt realy the solution :)
