ZicklePop replied on November 04, 2009 04:41 to the question "What is an Energy Cell?" in ngmoco:
Apparently thats not how energy cells work. Energy cells are items used to up your daily "HP." and 1 Energy Cell can refill your daily "HP" and this "HP" like thing is good for three games. It's a shame that ngmoco can't describe this better. Also they don't feel outrageously priced, but there is no doubt that they are high priced.

Oh god, I hope not. Can we get an official confirmation on this? If that's the case no wonder people are upset at the Energy Cell system. – ZicklePop, on November 03, 2009 21:43
ZicklePop asked a question in ngmoco on November 03, 2009 19:07:
What is an Energy Cell?Right now I have 30 energy cells that recharge every 250 minutes. If I buy 20 energy cells, will I, from that point on, have 50 energy cells that recharge every 250 minutes or do I have 20 energy cells I can use up and then I go back to having 30 energy cells that recharge every 250 minutes?
Simplified question: are energy cells permanent upgrades to the amount of energy cells I have?

Make Your Own Playlist!Instead of having to choose what song to play next instead of having to pick after each song. Maybe let us share playlists with our friends. Add for free in Tap Tap 3.

I just quickly googled Ska for Beginners and there is this nice list on Amazon with all the great types of Ska http://www.amazon.com/Beginners-List-...
There is a great free CD from Berkley that is free on the internet on the old "two tone" ska here http://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/~jboo/ska... – ZicklePop, on January 29, 2009 19:54

Streetlight Manifest while an amazing band might not like that because they don't like to be labeled "ska." (Whatever, I still list them as it myself.) – ZicklePop, on January 29, 2009 19:49

Less Than Jake (they have their own label), Reel Big Fish (they might not be too easy from talks with people who tried to book them for shows), The Aquabats, The Planet Smashers, and Mustard Plug are some big name (oxy moron) ska bands.
But there are some indie ska bands that should be great also like: Endive, The Fad, Fatter then Albert, Something To Do, The Taj Motel Trio.
And if those bands "Pick it up" a little too much the two tone bands like The Slackers, The Specials, The Toasters, Hepcat, Heptones, and the more indie of the bunch AKA Rudy.

Tap Tap Ska. I would pay for that. You could even save money by not using color and sticking with the 2-Tone look.

Not your app, go use the competitors if you don't like it. It's not buggy at all for me. – ZicklePop, on December 03, 2008 04:46

A comment on the idea "Integrate Google Reader" in The Cosmic Machine:
Sorry dude.
They are the ones who wanted to add NetNewsWire when I found out about them. The Google Reader API seems pretty easy and can do many things with syncing. (See Bylines for iPhone, a 3rd Party Google Reader app)
I can see EventBox after version 1 allowing 3rd parties to write plug-ins for them to support anything and everything. Again, I think they just want to bring all the information from sites we all keep a tab open for into one place. – ZicklePop, on November 21, 2008 21:39
A comment on the idea "Integrate Google Reader" in The Cosmic Machine:
I don't think you grasp the point of what Google Reader is exactly, or RSS. Go try it out and the iPhone version and then maybe you'll understand it.
Picture this: You have every item of and RSS readily available (even if you don't have your reader open) and can view it from anywhere (Desktop, iPhone, Wii, etc) and the ones you have read you don't have to read again: It remembers what you've read so you don't end up rereading something. If there is something you like and say your busy or on your mobile phone and don't wanna read the whole thing right now you can star it and read it later (most iPhone apps will download the website the feed links to if you star it).
It's an incredibly deep product and is very helpful for keeping up on the tech news for me.
Is it social? Yes. I can make an item as shared to share with my Google Reader "Buddies" and it will post it to a little blog for others to see. I can also see what my friends are reading through out the day also. Think of it as a private Digg without the digging, you can still leave comments too. – ZicklePop, on November 21, 2008 20:11
A comment on the idea "Integrate Google Reader" in The Cosmic Machine:
It's EventBox not SocialBox, I think of it more as an application for Web 2.0 not social networking. Now Web 2.0 is mostly social networking yes, but if you have Digg and Reddit, Google Reader is up there with the amount of usage as well. – ZicklePop, on November 21, 2008 12:39
A comment on the problem "Retain account & feed settings session-to-session" in The Cosmic Machine:
Once you had set up your feeds quit the application normally and then relaunch it. That way if it were to crash your feeds are still there. I have used this with 200 feeds and it worked just fine. – ZicklePop, on November 15, 2008 15:39

That's what SocialThing did and they didn't do much else in terms on implementation. :-\ – ZicklePop, on November 15, 2008 05:20
ZicklePop replied on November 15, 2008 05:18 to the question "Charging 20$ for a beta?!" in The Cosmic Machine:
SocialThing is kinda ugly and doesn't have half the features EventBox does, or will have. The HUD will make it be Twitteriffic + SocialThing minus the crap.
I paid for it because it was good when I bought it and I wanted to support the developers and give them a reason to continue on developing. If you don't like the app: don't buy it. If you have a problem with the word "Beta" then that's your own issue.
As for stability: It has never crashed for me. I use it all day long and I love it.
Final Summary: Don't like it? Don't pay for it.
