Yes. Also, going back and deleting the old account with the 's in my username was the help in re-starting my twinkle account. The confirm delete emails had a few strange letters instead of the so I replaced them. with the symbols and deleted that profile.
I've blocked most of the weirdos on there now, and it's a lot nicer with the darker keyboard. I just left it as letters for my username now and can update avatars. I also made some avatar images smaller, which helped as well.

So, Dharmansible is a twitter user, so it went to his twitter account, from your twitter account. Since it was Twitter it used your username and avatar.
Now, it seems ...joy... is a twinkle user so it was sent from your twinkle account, and used your twinkle avatar.
We're working on a better way to do this... if you have any ideas, we'd love to hear em.

Hey Wyldcelt,
So are you able to do all those changes you mentioned with 1.2? – ed, on October 10, 2008 21:36

I didn't say anything about that, we all know you have what appears to be a negative view on tapulous, but a lot of others like what they've done and I'm sure would like to show their appreciation – Zol., on October 10, 2008 17:26

Zol. asked a question in Tapulous on October 10, 2008 17:18:
Paypal donate button? If there was a 'Paypal Donate' button on the site or on the help pages of apps produced by Tappulous, how would the donations be used?
I think the guys at Tapulous have been doing a grand but also difficult job and it would only be fair to reward them in some way.
How about releasing 2 versions of the same product, One where people can pay for it as way of donation to the cause (make it clear in the description though) and the other where it is still free
What do you think?

Robert, if you aren't happy with Tapulous, then feel free to move on. I don't think it's necessary to continue to bag on them. It's a free app, after all. – Eric Suesz, on October 10, 2008 16:50

I don't have a clue why, but it has been like that since I can remember from the 1st release - the name changes can be strange as if you follow one name on twitter or twinkle, sometimes the other name isn't followed.
I don't think it is an issue if people share the same twitter/twinkle account names/pics on both profiles

I agree with danielvv, Tapulous are doing what they can, Apple have the power to hold or release applications (this was something speculated on a while back before the 2.0 firmware; apple would have too much control over releasing applications).
This application is Free, and has been pretty good for me, sure there were a few glitches at the very start, but Tapulous have been on it and have tried to minimise these glitches.
Just wanted to mention also, I do not measure an application on the amount of updates a piece of software has, I measure it on how useful the program is, and with Twinkle is has the edge over the competition in a couple of ways.
and as has been pointed out v1.2 is out there which further increases it's functionality.
at the end of the day, this is a free application being developed for free and not costing yourself directly for it's production - I'm sure if you wanted to speed up production Tapulous would gladly take donations/pay check from yourself to update their software. – Zol., on October 10, 2008 07:07

Thanks for the report. It has to do with the version of Twinkle. It will work when twinkle 1.2 is released... – ed, on October 06, 2008 21:41

Can I be the 1st to file a bug report :-)
The post to Twinkle account, 1st takes me to the iTunes store then loads up Twinkle but fails to post anything - If you want to get back to the fortune cookie message you can't it's lost in the ether.
It's only a minor thing, but thought you should know about it (Is there a topic for Cookies?)
Otherwise it's fun! Thank you!

Okay then, can some one please ask Apple what is going on, I see that the last apps. released in the UK iTunes was over 2 weeks ago and nothing since - are they holding back on apps to release them in bulk? (releasing apps. once a month?). There have been a few updates to other applications though.
I think this is one of the drawbacks to having Apple control apps release - at least they could do is to give a release schedule.
I just want to say this is at no way the fault of Tapulous, I think you guys are doing as best as possible, it's just Apple being slow on the update-
