No results or crashes on searches with no keywords
Man, I love this app (free version). It kills me not to be able to run some of my favorite searches.
I have an iPhone 3G. Starting yesterday, certain searches started either 1) returning (incorectly) no results or the app crashes and returns to the iPhone home screen. E.g., For Sale/Free Stuff with no text gives no results/crash, whereas if I put a word in the search field for the same category/subcategory, I get results. Same thing with For Sale/Auto parts - with no keyword I get no results/crash, but with "Ford" I get results. This happens whether I use a saved search or a manual one.
The only thing "different" I can think of is yesterday or the day before I downloaded Movie Genie. To test for a conflict, however, first I deleted and reinstalled CraigSearch Free, then deleted Movie Genie. Same result in both scenarios.
BTW, I've tried words that appear everywhere, like "copyright," but they don't solve the problem.

Glad you love the app despite your troubles! We are aware of some crash scenarios just like the one you are highlighting. The cause is usually some non-standard data coming back in the search results from Craigslist (characters with accent marks for example).
I suspect that if you change the city or subcategory for one of the searches that it would work fine. Additionally I also suspect that after a little bit of time once the offending Craigslist entry is no longer in the top 100 results, these searches would start working again.
I do not have an ETA for a fix to this, but we're aware of it and improve this in every release. We will be pushing out another update in September.
The PRO version of Craigslist has several improvements in this handling, and may work for you but I can not be sure. If you post the City/category/subcategory you were using I can test a bit more on this end.
