I'd like to be able to browse back to previously shown photo's in the room. Is it possible to get a back button there as well?

Inappropriate?Yes, I agree, it would be nice to see the comments and photos from about 10 minutes previous so one could know what the flow of the conversation has been like. -

Inappropriate?Hobvias, I'm fully aware of this fact. I'm also aware that if I want to go back 15 photo's there's a lot of scrolling involved. I'm suggesting additional functionality in the form of a shortcut.

Inappropriate?using a back button, to go back 15 photos you're just replacing "a lot of scrolling" with "clicking 15 times". each time you click "back" we'd be running an API call again and prompting a photo download, usually for a photo your just going to be skipping over while clicking 15 times. the presence of a back button would also use up space that is needed to present the photo in an area already dense with other links.
the original mockups for photophlow had back and forward links in the viewer panel, but these were discarded because they were redundant and took up valuable space.
you can call us "lazy" all you want [i read that particular comment before you edited it] but laziness has nothing to do with this decision. -
Inappropriate?What if you had a pulldown with thumbnails of 15 of the previous photos. That would only be 2 clicks... or one, if the list could be hover triggered.

Inappropriate?well... two clicks and, again, a scroll - since you'd likely have to scroll the thumbnail list.
but it would work better than a back button anyway. -
Inappropriate?If the list could have only 4 or 8, it would be useful. 2 columns of 4, similar to the list you get on the left the the screen when browsing, only this list could be floating so as not to take up any screen space. plus if you did have it scroll, you would be scrolling much less then if you scroll the chat aria.
