dropping the contact temporarily until we resolve the issue will fix your problem.

Inappropriate?I can't get into any of the rooms. I can get in the anteroom but not the groups.
In firefox, I never get past the white page with the loading status in the middle. In IE, I get a bit further where it loads the shell of the room and I can see who's in there but I can't do anything - the loading status still in the middle.

Inappropriate?I cannot get past the clever load phrases after the Anteroom. After that I just get a blank white screen. I have tried disabling every popupblocker and mousetrap I can think of. This makes me sad, I want to play.

Inappropriate?The answer appears to be tragic. I get the room to load when GreaseMonkey is disabled. I have tested several times with identical results. I hope it is a specific script. I cannot give up GM but I really want to play in your yard.

Inappropriate?I have firewall off. I am at home. Running Firefox on XP on laptop. I have all add blockers and such turned off. I have repeated several tests with GreaseMonkey on and Off and that is definitely the conflict. Unfortunately I run about 8k scripts. I will have to take the time to disable them one at a time, unless you know a workaround.

ok, she says she can get into the rooms from home, but not work. She can get into the anteroom, and see her groups and how many people are in them, but when she clicks on the group room, the room never loads.
She tried the greasemonkey thing, but that didn't work.
She says:

Inappropriate?hey, my old laptop died. I am on a borrowed one. I can't get into photophlow at all! as in, that damned, um, lovely video just keeps looping and the link to 'logon' doesn't work.
I was using IE because it was the only broowser is on this temp laptop. I installd Firefox but DAMMIT that is not working at all!
Am I doomed to be shut out of paradise! what issues might be causing this?

Inappropriate?OK - when you click "already a member" it just sends you back to the same page? Try clearing cookies (you probably don't need it but in case someone does: http://www.aboutcookies.org/Default.a...). Let us know if that doesn't work.
Also - does Firefox not work at all on that computer, or is it a problem specifically with photophlow?

Inappropriate?I'm in! NO idea why. yes, what was happening was that the page would blink, but I was still sittng at the front page.
This is a borrowed laptop and used mpostly for Lotus and SAP business applications. They only had the old IE on it (not ie7) and not Firefox. Firefox no workie at all and I am in the middle of finals so I cat' be botereed to get that goign right now. BUT ANYWAY...
NOw, all is well!

Inappropriate?hello - i just joined am am having the same issue - i can log into my anteroom, but photoflow hangs on the loading screen when i try to enter any room. i am using mac, firefox -- have GM disabled and the latest version of flash installed.
also tried on safari and same issue. i have cleared my cookies and cache...

Then enable it and display the firebog console (from the Tools menu), then try to enter a room. Once it's hung for a minute or so, copy all of the output from the console and email to me at contact@oortle.com. I should be able to help you from there. Thanks! -

Inappropriate?I'm also having this problem. I can navigate the anteroom fine, but when I try and enter any group room, it won't get past that little loading window. If I look really closely, I can kind of see very faint icons of people in the room in the background, but the loading window never goes away and the room never fully loads.
I'm using Safari 3.0.4 on OS X 10.5.1. However, I can use Photophlow just fine in Firefox, but Safari is my browser of choice, so I'd like to figure that out... Thanks. -

Inappropriate?I usually am using Sogudi and the "CreamMonkey" Greasemonkey thing for Safari, but I've disabled them all, and disabled my pop-up blocker, restarted safari, and I'm still having troubles.

Inappropriate?At work. IE6, Windows XP, behind a nice government firewall - trying to enter a room just shows 'loading warhead's room' indefinitely.
At home, IE6 or Avant browser, on Windows 2000 and with ZoneAlarm running - when I try to enter a room I get the 'loading warhead's room' message, and behind it an attention icon, and a message beneath to say I've lost connection and to try reconnecting. The process is then repeated each time I reconnect and try to enter any room.

Inappropriate?Warhead - no surpise that it doesn't work behind a firewall. There are some things we need to do to make Photophlow more firewall-friendly but this won't happen for a few weeks. We'll post about it here and on our blog when we do.
I'm not sure what Avant is. Photophlow does work with IE6 (about 6% of ours users currently use it), so the problem may be ZoneAlarm. You'll need to allow connections to clientconn1.oortle.com on ports 8080 and 8082. I would also recommend using Firefox if at all possible. -

Avant is a browser with a lot of nice features (built in tabbed windows, for example) but it sometimes fails on sites where IE works perfectly, particularly where user input is required. I also have Firefox. Can't do anything about the firewall at work, but I'll tweak ZoneAlarm at home later and see if that solves the problem. -

I did enter rooms yesterday from home, impossible to do it now from work.
I am on Mac, using Firefox 2.0.0.12 on Leopard.
Today I can only see the anteroom fine - but on Safari 3.0.4 i can't even enter through the landing page...
Mind you: here at work we do have all ports blocked except for 80 and 443, so I'm guessing Photophlow rooms are calling through other ports?
When I try to enter a room, I keep seiing the flash waiting thing telling me it's doing a lot of things. -

Inappropriate?K.... I have the same problem as all these other folks. Firefox just says it's loading the rooms over and over (though it worked fine yesterday) and IE loads the users list on the left.
Nothing else.
I tried shutting down my firewall and virus scanners and so forth but I can't get any further. What gives? This topic is a year old!!

Inappropriate?Matt - this topic is a year old but it refers to a general symptom that could have different causes. A number of people are using photophlow at the moment but Flickr's API servers are having sporadic problems and this seems to be affecting you. There's nothing we can do about this, so please try again in a little while. Thanks.

I initally could go into my room, invite and chat with friends.
After a couple of days it stopped and now I have the same problems as above.
Running a laptop/XP/FFox v3.08 with firebug. Deleted cookies. turned off GM ran photophlow. turned it back on again ran it again no luck.
I have basically done everything you've instructed as above but it just hangs there...

I am using FF and have deleted cookies and it still doesn't get past my loading page...however, my group (that i am trying to chat with) says that I have been logged into to the room for a week, but I have never even been inside the room. Is there anyway that someone can log me out so I can try again. I would love to be able to use photophlow but it doesn't seem to be working out for me!

Inappropriate?Hi Lynette - The fact that you appear to be logged in doesn't have any effect on being able to re-enter the room, so there's nothing we can do on our end.
Here are a few questions that might help use figure out the proble:
Do you have either the Flashblock or Noscript Firefox extensions installed? Are you on dialup? Where are you located? Can you try another browser (IE if you're on Windows, Safari if you're on Mac) and let us know if it helps?
